lead tape dillema

In the description of the quarter inch width lead tape reel it says, "One inch of this lead tape weighs .25 ounces." i dont think this could be right. because that would mean that putting only 4 inches of the tape each at 3 and 9 o'clock would put 2 whole ounces in the head.

I think that they mean .25 grams. Or am I just hallucinating?
