What do you guys think about this string? Luxilon Big Banger Ace Touch Hybrd 18 String. I use an APDC and I hit flat/play doubles. Any recommendations?

I got this in my very first AG100 (an on-line competitor to TW had it as a free stringing option when you bought the racquet--too good to pass up).

I had it strung at 54/57. It played great: excellent control and spin and still plenty of power. It did play a little hard at this tension. I could have gone down to 53/56 or 52/55. It lasted forever.

But remember that this hybrid is two polys, and that the cross is a fairly thick and hard poly, so compensate.

First thought . . .

Save yourself some money and go Ace / Any Synthetic gut. The monotec really adds nothing to this hybrid, but price.

Second thought . . .

If you're a flat hitter, why 18 ga string ?
