Sorry, I watch the big name singles matches for a time, but my eyes always find the mixed doubles. There I stand fascinated... varied shot selection, mind games with crosses, volleys, lobs, touch and power... Admittedly old school in my love of that game. Mixed gets my attention for some time now. The technology, in my mind, has perfected that professional game as an eye-catching feast of skills. Anyone else find the same attractions?
Hingis' skillfest caught my attention with her Wimbledon and US Open Mixed runs... Now, it continues... the matches are all interesting for the varied skill sets on display. Admittedly old school here... So many talents out there - fascinating match ups on every point...
Not my thought, but an announcer described Jamie Murray as McEnroe like - yes, so true. What a unique and strikingly effective blend to his game...truly a pleasure to watch his variety...
As with Mac, beter enjoy Jamie as when he is gone, there ain't no more... Truly a joy.
