Most exciting Wimbledon for years?

I've been to a couple of days play at this years Wimbledon and the crowd is more animated and buzzing than I've seen it in years. People seem genuinely excited by the new crop of players -especially on the men's side. Good news for those fearing the absence of the Big 3 will be a disaster for the game.

It would be a shame if it ended with a Medvedev v Djokovic final. Even though it'd be Medvedev's first Wimbledon final, it still seems like a "been there, done that" match, especially given the lack of uncertainty about the outcome. If it were the US Open final, at least Medvedev would have a very good puncher's chance of winning.

Sinner medwed would be much worse for ratings
TV and ticket holders wants tiny vs Nole

If you are so sure about outcome put your house on Djokovic.

Don't be obnoxious. Obviously I'm not suggesting there is *zero* chance Djokovic can lose but I would put his chances in the 85-plus percent range. That removes virtually all intrigue from the equation as all you have to go on is a longshot upset.

You underestimate Alcaraz. He will be multi slam winner after Djokovic retires, that's for sure. Even if he loses again Wimbledon final, he will be the guy who will send Djokovic to retirement sooner or later.

You are new to SW19 then ? I'm very sorry to say I see no one replacing ANY of the big 4.
Certainly not AlcaFlop.

That's the point. These guys are not good enough to win slams even when their only competition is a 36 years old. Alcaraz totally failed against him in DO, collapsed after just 2 sets. It's clear he wouldn't even be relevant if he had to face even 2017-2019 level big 3, leave alone their prime versions.

Alcaraz seems much better than others, but when he meets Djokovic than he loses. It must be there is something special about Djokovic than the other players. They are not weak, Djokovic is best of all time.

That's BS. A pretty much retired Nadal beat Djokovic in DO last year. You really think there can be any excuses for a 20 years old to collapse after just 2 sets? The only reason he is even relevant is because he is playing in the weakest era in history.

Nadal hasn’t beaten djokovic outside of clay for ages.

What was the last time Nadal took a set from Djokovic on HC? Strongest HC era ever or weakest HC era ever?

Nadal is long past his prime. The next gen are supposed to be in their primes now. Nadal at age 20 was a physical beast.

Well sucks for nadal that he left his prime after 2013 with only 27 years old. Maybe he should have asked some advice to GOATs like Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Messi, Ronaldo and Djokovic on how to still be in your prime in your 30s?

Or if Nadal has the strategy of peaking early, maybe he should have tried to extend his slam lead vs djokovic? When djokovic was 29 he already was 2 slams behind nadal.

Djokovic is not at his prime, LOL. He just vultures titles in the weakest era of all time.

Yes, casual fans always prefer the big name player. I'm not a casual fan and I don't always and in fact rarely want the big name players to win, and certainly not in an era when they are winning all the time. In my view, Djokovic v Medvedev is the most boring final possible. I'd rank them thus:

1. Alcaraz v Sinner
2. Alcaraz v Djokovic
3. Medvedev v Sinner
4. Medvedev v Djokovic
