At my outdoor courts I'd say plastic - either tennis "cans" or water/drink bottles. The trash can is outside of the courts and I guess people can't bring their stuff out there when they leave.

I don't really recall people leaving stuff on the courts at my club.

This is true on any public courts I play on. Old balls too. I started keeping plastic grocery bags in my tennis bag so I can easily pick up the trash before I start playing. Just takes a minute or two.

I never see anything of value left on the courts.

sureshs leaves cracks in the court after playing. He also has an out-of-body experience when he dials up his serve to 130mph...I don't know if he recollects the body when he returns to reality???

Number 1 Thing Left On Tennis Courts

Based the "Adult League and Tournament Talk" section, I'd say people leave all petty "differences of opinion" they experienced with their opponents on the court and don't allow things like perceived bad line calls, gamesmanship, sandbagging, or rule breaking (footfaults) to make them in the least bit bitter.

Definitely the paper cups provided by the club. The propensity of supposedly educated and high earning individuals to leave their garbage around is nauseating.

If you're talking about things left behind that are not just trash, I'm guessing vibration dampeners, jackets/sweaters and racquets, in that order. Presumably the racquets are typically left by kids in group lessons. There always seems to be one on the court when I come on after a kids' class - not sure why, but the last activity in many of the kids' classes seems to be without sticks.

I also work at a tennis center...and our lost and found for clothing would put goodwill to shame. And most of the time it's high dollar stuff like Nike, Underarmor, and Adidas...and no one comes to claim the lost items...ever.

The front desk person came out last summer and said a lady had lost a diamond from her ring. Thought it was the clay court I was playing on. Couldn't find it.

Sunglasses mostly. Cellphone a couple of times.

I would say the tops from new can of balls. I usually pick them up if I see them - as they are sharp and lot of kids play at the courts. It's annoying as there are garbage cans at all the entrances to the courts.

I was so bad during a return to the game after several years off that the birds in the park were my biggest fans...trails of bagel and breadstick crumbs fed them for days until my next match.

Least likely item left on our public courts.........used condom.

I work at a tennis club. Take a guess. Also what are some thing you've left on the courts.

I didn't take the poll as I'm not sure what is the #1 thing ppl leave behind...

If you asked what I left behind, it was a warmup jacket (and when I went back, it was gone)...
One friend left his Ray-Ban and other friend left his water bottle

So, what is it?
