PK "Pro Boron"

I'm having zero, none, nada, zip, zilcht luck trying to find the specs (other than string pattern/tension) on my newly aquired Pro Kennex "Pro Boron". I asked about it in the classic racquet forum, but it seems to be a bit of a stumper. This is NOT the Boron Ace. Here is a picture of it:

It says "Pro Boron" on the top of the hoop and BoronGraphite on the throat. The case is an insulated full cover in black with red piping and says "Pro Boron" on it. Thanks for any help folks!

Even Pro Kennex sent me specs on the "Boron Ace" instead of this stick... maybe it only exists in my head!

I am a raquet addict addict and I have hit with a ton of racquets. I would say at least 50 different frames and this one is hands down my favorite. A friend let me borrow it for a while and it is incredibly stiff and has great pop. I have searching for one on the pay and it has yet to show up so I say it has got tobe pretty rare.

Okay... now I want not only to know the specs for this stick, but I want to find a second! After a total of 4 sets over 2 days, I'm hooked!

more follow up... this racket really imparts spin on the serve! i mean, lots!!! also, even though it is stiff, it seems to be much easier on my arm than the PS85. The balance point is the same on both sticks and the PK is just a touch more headlight (though not much). I only notice the swing weight difference on the serve. I don't notice anything different on the groundies or the volley.

What do you have it strung with? Try yellow kirshbaum poly cross and msv 18 focus hex mains at 55# and the pop is incredible. My only complaint is that seemd a little short like 26.5" instead of 27" but no big deal. This raquet with a different PJ would sell tons in todays market. The light swingwieght but incredibly high plowthrough is amazing.

It currently has Rip Control 17 in it at 61lbs... first time ever using this string. I like it so far! If i go to a poly combo, it will get Big Hitter 17 and Liberty 16. The racket I have is 27" long, weird.

Well, I now have 3 matches under my belt with this stick... I freaking love it!!!!!! Serve is solid with pop or spin, groundies are solid and the back hand is much like it use to be in college again! What can I say? I've found my stick!

^^^ Exactly. It was my friends dads old stick and it was so addicting to hit with. Let me know if you ever want to sell it.

In Europe this has been known as "Pro Ace"...same materials, different aesthetics...a topseller at the time (mid 80s)
