Play for 4 USTA teams in one season

Here are the details.
1. 3.5 A team: It is 1 hour drive to home court one way for me to get there. I am #1 single of the team. The captain is nice and will play as many matches as I want. And I can learn a lot in their practice. The team is competive. We should be able to make Sectional this year.
2. 4.0 A team: Same as 1, it is 1 hour drive to home court. I am #1 single of the team. The captain is nice and will play as many matches as I want. The team isn't strong. We may not be able to make playoff.
3. 3.5 B team: It is .5 hour drive to home court. I am #2 or #3 single of the team. The team may be strong. It will get to playoff. The captain is tough and strict.
4. 4.0 B team: It is very close to my home. I may need to play doubles in the team. The team is relative strong. But I don't know if it is good enough to make playoff.

Is it too much to handle to play 4 USTA teams all together in one season.

Note that 1,2 are in one District and 3, 4 are in another District. Another question is that if both 3.5 A and 3.5 B teams go to Sectional. Am I limited to play for only one of the team?

As long as all 4 don't play on the same day, I've no problem with that (and assuming you don't mind the drive).

If you're on multiple teams that go to Sectionals at the same level, you can only play for one of them.

Just be careful not to get burned out...give yourself days off.

I would never drive 1 hour for a usta league. 45 minutes is the most I've driven, and wasn't too thrilled about it.

Anyways if you are single then it is not too much. If I was single I would probably play tennis 6 days a week. But if you have family obligations then its probably too much.

I will probably wind up on 4 teams this winter. Three night teams, one day team.

This is because I have no self control.

I will regret it. I have done it before, and I always regret it. It is just too confusing to be on so many teams.

I cannot imagine playing on 4 teams. Unless you are not very busy with work and have a lot of free time. But if you do, more power to you.

You're making my elbow hurt thinking about playing on four teams. There's no way I could do it now but I would have when I was 20.

My wife yelled at me for just reading a thread about the OP playing for 4 USTA teams.

I have trouble playing on two teams between family, kids, work, etc. Just not enough time to fit in multiple league matches each week, plus team practices, plus have a life.

If I was single, lived in an apartment, and unemployed -- I might be able to make it work.

I played for a 4.0 and 4.5 team this fall at the same, and it was a bit of a nightmare getting the two schedules to match up. I wound up playing 9 matches for 4.5 and one for 4.0 - and it wasn't planned that way at all. I wound up paying 55.00 for that one 4.0 match. Ouch.

Unless it's different days, it's very difficult - not just to play, but to communicate and coordinate the schedules.

I find it interesting that the OP and others are able to play multiple levels of USTA leagues. I tried to play two levels last summer and was denied being told that it is against the rules to play more than one level in the same USTA season.

I played on 4 teams one season and got very burned out. On two of the teams, I told the captains just to use me in a pinch. Then, of course, other players got injured, had work conflicts etc, so I ended up playing almost every match on all 4 teams. I swore I would never play on more than 2 teams in a season ever again!

That's odd. I guess your USTA section doesn't allow that?

I just passed the 4.0 A team. Although I like to be #1 single on this team, I think I can't play too much on that team.

I will try to stay with only 2 teams. May be a lit 4.0 team which is close.
