Playing with Semi-Western Grip.

I recently tried to switch from a western grip to a semi-western one and found that I was getting better results. However, since then, my racket has slowly moved closer to western and now I hold it in a position that is between western and semi-western. I think the reason for this is that I can't find a way to comfortably hold the racket with a semi-western grip. When I try to hold it semi-western style, it doesnt feel too comfortable and its like my fingers are not fitting into the proper grooves. Does anyone here know how exactly to hold with a semi-western grip, since I may have been holding it wrong in the first place. Thanks in advance.

You might be an ideal candidate for the Power -V- Grip, PVG. You will definitely be able to find a "Strong SW" (It might close your racquet face slightly towards the Western grip but your swing path and mechanics will remain like those you use with the SW. Here is a link if you would like to check it out.

Are you still getting as good results with your semi-semi western? (mid west - semi west).

If you are then there's no harm using it, i remember i used to (and might still be using it) but since i've just held it however it feels comfortable.

If it feels comfortable and it gets results then there's no point forcing the SW on yo0u.

Well, I have much more consistency now (mainly because there is more topspin.) But, I am struggling with the high balls, that go up to my shoulders. Normally with the semi-western I would just smack them down flat and my opponents would be running all over the place. Now when I try to smack it flat I almost never make clean contact.
