Pure Strike grommet question

I'm stringing a Pure Strike. It's white with orange markings. It has a 16x19 pattern, skip 8th on top and bottom. Mains tie off at the top. The grommets themselves are all black. I have some grommets labeled Pure Strike 16x19, 8 holes in the throat piece, grommets are black and orange. But, the holes don't line up with the racket, plus the bumperguard appears to be narrower. When I've called TW to order grommets, they usually ask me what year is the racket. I haven't a clue. Anyone familiar with these and when they changed grommets (and if any other grommets are compatible)? I know the Pure Storm grommets aren't as I their holes didn't line up either. All the other Babolats have mains that tie off at the throat. Thanks.

Black & orange grommet are for the 1st gen. Pure strike
From your description, think you have a 2nd gen Pure strike P17

Yes, I think that's right. The grommets are for a Gen1, the racket is a Gen 2. Why does Babolat change the grommets like this? Why don't they come up with another name for the racket? It would sure simplify ordering grommets. Any idea if any other grommets will fit the Gen 2?

AFAIK, of the Gen 3 16x19 Pure Strikes, the Pure Strike and the Pure Strike Tour skip 8H and 8T, but the Pure Strike 100 and Pure Strike Team skip 7H, 7T, 9H, and 9T. So you might be in luck - maybe the grommets for the Gen 3 Pure Strike or Pure Strike Tour will fit the Pure Strike you have. As far as I remember, the Gen 1 Pure Strikes were black with red.
