Racket Vibration help

So my rackets were leaded up to about 13.5 ounces. But I decided to take them off, since the racket was already super stable, and now I could muscle through the ball with the lighter weight.

I also decided to take off my vibration dampener, but the racket vibrates so much, and it's really bothersome.

Is there any way to reduce vibration? Without using a dampener?

seriously, try a rubberband. i used to play with dampeners, but it dampen too much imo. rubberbands stops the vibration, sounds, and it weights like next to nothing. it also cost next to nothing.

what's a power pad? Pardon me... I am familar with the term

they are small pieces of leather that are placed between the string the frame... acts as a barrier to relieve strain on the string, the string at some grommets be run at an extreme angle and this point of contact may put to much pressure on the string... they work also to slightly dampen the string bed vibration.

Why did you take off your dampner, and why are you so averse to using one? I use a Wilson smiley face and that gives me the right amount of dampening, it takes the ping off the strings but leaves enough vibration so I get some feedback.

I had the same experience. I stopped using a dampaner about a year ago. Recently I had to change my bumper and grommets on my KBlade. I then strung my racquets with Technifibre X-1 Bi-phase at 50lbs. After about a week I started to have a weird vibration across the top crosses of the racquet that had the bumper changed (but not the other one). I decided to put the Wilson Smiley Face dampaner on the racquet that was vibrating and it presto it stopped the vibration (for now at least!). I still don't know why the vibration started but until the next string job I'll likely not get tp the bottom of it. In the meanwhile I'll continue using that racquet with the dampaner. It had a nice feel:).

So, for the time being,I'm playing with one of my KBlades with the Smiley Face dampaner and the other with no dampaner. However, I'm assuming I'll end up putting the smiley face dampaner on the other racquet too.
