Raonic - still not 100%

That's too bad for him. Seems as though his height is going to become an increasing disadvantage. Although he only turned 25 yesterday and so is the youngest member of the top 16, he's been around for a while and wear and tear might already be starting to bother him.

Seems a bit worrying that he's now experiencing back spasms on top of the foot injury which held him back this year. It's beginning to look as if injuries are going to be a persistent problem for him and will threaten to curtail his career like with so many other promising players! :(

I wonder if his fitness problems were the major factor in his split with Ljubicic?

Another youngster with fitness issues...
I never tried to hide my dislike for Raonic in the past as he's been shove down every canadian's throat for years now, but I wish him the best still. I'd much rather see younger players such as Raonic challenging the established order than to see all those old timers in the top 20 who have never been able to do so. Raonic is still relatively young and his huge serve can certainly help him work around the fitness issues by keeping points short. Even when he was healthy, his ground game has never been world class so I could definitely see him try to S&V more to complement his serve.

That's a shame. I hope all is good for Raonic soon.

25 years old and the youngest member of the top 16. What the heck is going on!?
