RDS 001 Mid vs RDS 003

I picked up a RDS 001 Mid last week. I have enjoyed hitting with the racquet so far. I am a 3.5 level player who primarily hits from the baseline. (1HBH)

Since I am just getting back into tennis after being out for about 5 years, I thought maybe I need something a little more forgiving. I picked up a RDS 003 to try out also.

I have not hit the RDS 003 yet in a match. I have only had a chance to practice some serves, hit against a backboard and hit some groundstrokes by myself. (by dropping and hitting the ball) The first 4-5 balls I hit into the net.

I expected the RDS 003 to be much more powerful than the RDS 001 mid. This is not my experience so far. The 003 has Gamma Zo tour/TNT hybrid and the 001 has Head Fibergel in it,
For players that have used both the 001 Mid and the 003, can you please compare the following:
-Power
-Comfort (ease on arm) I am over 40, so I have some concern on how my arm will hold up.
-Serving
-Groundstrokes
-Overall ease of use

Overall, I prefer to use the 001 Mid because I really like the feel of it and the headsize, but if the 001 is much more demanding, then I will give the 003 a try.

Thank you for any feedback.

RDS001 is definitely a bit more demanding compared to RDS003. I helped a friend purchased a pair of RDS003 and was able to play with it briefly.
I found there's definitely more power on the RDS003 - easier to swing and its fun to play compared to the RDS001. I think you should try relaxing your swing and hit with a more topspin - you'll find the 003 to a good racquet.

Now which one is better? Its a matter of preference. You'll have to play both extensively and you'll eventually make up your mind which one of the two can give you the most return.

both are great frames. I suggest that you try the rds003 with some (3-6gr in total) lead at 3, 9 and 12 and you will have increased stability and power.
