Recommend me a bag, please

I've a had a TW 6 pack bag for two summers now and it is ripped to shreds.

I've been looking at bags and reading reviews and I just can't decide on one.

I like the 6 pack since I carry 6 racquets. I like external pockets for over grips, sun lotion, keys, chapstick, etc. A long strap is crucial and I like the idea of the backpack straps but have no experience with them.

One of the problems I'm having is that I am NOT brand specific. I wear mainly Nike clothes since we have a Nike outlet locally. I like Nike shoes since they fit my feet the best, but I also have Asics GR2's since I read how comfortable they are. I prefer Adidas socks since they are the most comfortable on my feet. I play with Dunlop racquets and old Head racquets as well. I use Tournagrip and Wilson Pro, I go back and forth between rubber bands or regular dampeners.

See what I'm getting at?

I guess I could buy pretty much ANY bag and be fine but I'd prefer something neutral...Nike, Adidas, maybe Dunlop and/or Head...but who knows I may buy different racquets...

I appreciate any inputs!

Why don't you get the Dunlop Aerogel 4D bag. It's a very well made bag, full thermal protection, comfortable backpack straps, an accessories pocket, inside pockets for keys, cellphones and stuff, separate wetdry bag and the 12 pack has a thermal water bottle compartment and it's less expensive than the Head bags.

It's also really overpriced. Why not just get a pacific six pack? It's relatively cheaper than other six packs...
You can find old ones for a really decent price since the new ones were released along with APD GTs. I have a Babolat Aero 6, really nice if you need to carry 6 racquets. Sturdy, too. Not that practical if you have to carry, say, 3 racquets, a pair of shoes, clothes, a bottle of water and one or two cans of balls (eveything will be messed in the large pockets), but for someone who just want to carry 6 racquets (and a few accessories in the external pocket) the Aero 6 is great.

I'll look into those suggestions more.

Can anyone give me personal experience with the Pacific bags? Is their build quality pretty decent? I guess I would like to spend more money up front and have a bag that will last more than five years rather then $40 every year or every other year. However, if the Pacific bags are decent I don't mind saving a little money either. :)

Also, I don't think I want to lug anything bigger then a 6 pack bag. If I have more room I'll use it and will make my bag too damn heavy.

i bought the volkl bag. i am as particular as you about having space and pockets and room, etc. it is the best i've found and i tried several and returned them. its also in the $40 range and can easily accomodate 6 rackets.

"full thermal protection".

please help, never understood this.

are people keeping pocket warmers in their bags or something?

it never made sense in the 80's either.

cool bags though!!

Thermal just keeps temps stable. So if your bag is in the sun during a match the inside does not cook.

If you play dunlop racquets, I own the new 4d bag also and it is excellent. I have the 6 pack, and it is very big. I fit 4 sticks in one side (thin beam 200s) and have the other side wide open for balls, grips, shoes and clothes.

Might as well get a 12 pack, no? Unless price is an issue

Most players have less racquets than you and fit stuff in their 12 pack. I carry three but I place other stuff such as resistance bands, clothes after a shower, drinks, jump rope, and two pairs of shoes in my 12 pack.

Look at the Prince 12 Pack Tour Team 2010 bag, it has a lot of extra compartments for whatever inside, but on the outside it only has one.

Head, I think, has the best bags out there. A lot of players I know that don't hit with a Head racquet get the bag just because it's killer. What makes it good? I don't know, sorry, might wanna ask the other people who recommended it why.

Fischer (Pacific)

I have a Fischer 12 pack bag and it's absolutely wonderful. I've never had a bag with such durable material.

Fischer got bought by Pacific, but the bags are essentially the same, just with Pacific branding (which I think looks pretty good).

Here's one of them: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/viewlarge.html?pcode=PTLBB6

There was also a TW Vlog that reviewed the new Pacific bags and had only very positive things to say (but I can't seem to find the link now).

I ordered and received the Pacific bag.

I am exchanging it for the Head ATP series bag though due to not nearly enough pockets.

I like the construction of the Pacific but need more pockets.

Figured I'd get the 12 pack bag since it's only $1.00 more than the Pacific bag I got.

Head prestige monstercombi is GOAT and i hate to throw that word around.

Best 80 bucks I've ever spent, I totally agree, not only does it hold everything I need it to and more but it just looks incredible. Not to mention I love the Head Prestige MP, so I got the bag and the matching racket.

I had to splurge when they were available on TW and buy one. Even though I had a Babolat Team Line bag, I was like this thing is too good to pass up, and it absolutely is amazing. First day I got it I totally missed that it had four pockets, I was just like where the heck is the other strap, and then I came back and looked at it and realized that it was in a pocked I hadn't opened up lolz. The middle pocket is perfect for holding so much stuff, I literally held a full back pack of clothes and food/water plus all my tennis stuff like my wrist bands, stencil ink, stencil, dampeners etc and I still had a boat load of room.
