Restring zero vs lynx tour

Hey guys I currently use lynx tour 16 gauge. I saw restring zero and heard a lot of positive feedback from it. I tested out the snap back on my lynx tour 16 and it as well snaped back in place, and both strings have the same shape, so I was wondering if it's worth giving restring zero a try. It seems great, but how does it compare compared to lynx tour 16. Should I go 16 for restring as well?

RZ is a little livelier than LT. LT has a meaty, thumpy, substantial and dampened feel to it. RZ isn’t as dampened feeling. LT also has very consistent performance from start to finish whereas RZ feels great when fresh then gets trampoliney and erratic for awhile before it settles down and has consistent playing characteristics until the end.

I like predictable performance so i would choose LT over RZ all the time.

Personally, I prefer LT over RZ. LT has a better feel, solid and meaty like @mad dog1 said. RZ feels more plasticky. The edges of LT are not that sharp, RZ is a very sharp string. I would say RZ will last longer and better tension maintenance, but if durability is not the priority, I'd go with LT.

agreed! LT is very controlled and consistent. It's a string I can use any day for any match and be happy with. I find LT a bit stiff though.

Zero has more spin, but I find it hard to control unless I go up to 53lbs+

got new racquets at 56 actually but will probably go back to 55. It's not bad but a tad of a stretch for me as far as control, prefer the tad more snap back with 55.
Point is I string pretty tight though.

My game is so 1970's, even 1.15mm poly last for me in my oversize ported frames.

Has anyone tried a LT & Zero hybrid? I’ll be trying it soon. Got it strung up as LT 1.25 grey mains + Zero 1.23 crosses. Trying to see if I can get more ball feel out of it as full-bed Zero feels pretty muted (otherwise, I love Zero). I remember that the gold colored LT had a pretty crisp feel to it. I’m hoping the grey colored LT isn’t too far off from that feel.

I remember grey feeling pretty close but playing a lot more dead which should work nice with Z crosses

Just hit some balls and it felt amazing. Compared to full-bed Zero, better control (didn’t need it but good to have), similar spin (from what I can tell; maybe not as effortless as full-bed, need to swing fast), BETTER FEEL (feeling connected). I did get a sense that LT grey isn’t as crisp as LT gold and I like that better (my experience with LT gold was that it was too harsh on my arm).

This should be something to try out for those who like full-bed LT but would like a less stiff stringbed, or those like me who like full-bed Zero but would like to get some more connected feel.

After hours of playing, I take this comment back. I don’t like LT. Too thick and heavy of a string and I’m used to playing with 1.20mm gauge strings. It bumps up the swingweight and lowers the launch angle. I saw some comments that LT 1.25mm is really a 1.30mm and that may be why. I get some arm discomfort (strung @48lbs) from it as well.
