Agree Schwartzman limitations means he can't be a real threat to win a slam. But he has the tools and skilled to play an amazing match and beat a top opponent.

He almost beat Tsitsipas on clay earlier in the season. He can cause Novak lot of trouble if he can bring his best level.

Problem is he can't hold his serve against Djokodal , he has no problem breaking their serve but his own serve get broken more than he breaks theirs. He surely has a ground game to match them

How was Rafa able to deliver a final set bagel to Diego in the QF last year do you think?
Diego is a streaker. He tends to win stretches of 5 or 6 games in a row every match. He also tends to lose stretches of 5 or 6 games in a row every match.

Totally agree. This precisely makes it hard for him to beat them in slams. In BO3 he still has a better chance. He did beat Rafa 2 years back in Rome.

But I dare say that with this version of Novak he may have a chance. Novak is playing well of course but for sure he has issues physically. Diego will have to play at 110% and move Novak across the court.

Whatever the outcome one thing is for sure, Diego is a fighter and he will never go down easy. Especially at RG.

R16 matches prove it's FAA who is a lot scarier than Schwartzman this year.

5th set was crazy. Rafa played amazing in crucial points. Absolute clutch. Felix really fought hard unlike the 2nd and 3rd set.

Yes, exactly. Rafa perhaps gifted Félix the first set, but Félix didn't have to accept it. Better players than him have refused to accept Rafa's rare presents.

FAA needed to fight harder in the second, maybe the third was out of his hands. He still loses the second, but a tiebreak would have given him confidence in the 5th.
