Hi. I started hitting serves with a semi-western (forehand) grip. I would hit it very flat and hard, and it is very effective because unlike the continental grip, the ball stays very low at a fast pace. It works well with my game. I just switched it over to continental grip and now the difference is tremendous. Continental grip gives me more spin and angle but it isnt even nearly as hard and fast as my western grip. A lot of my serves with continental is hit with too much slice and I dont know how to hit a hard continental grip serve. Can someone give me advice on continental serve? How can I maximize the speed?
