Was a hell of a shot for the first game of the match, and when it happened I just knew it was going to be a good day. People need to learn how to smash properly.

First of all it's "Basel" -- not Bale :)lol:).

Secondly, that shot is nowhere near as Amazing as Federer's since Roddick's smash not only caused the ball to bounce higher and further away (thus Roger had to jump to hit the ball almost behind his back) but Roddick was covering the line of the ball thus in a better position to hit it back had Federer not been successfull in threading the needle in between Roddick and the tramlines.

to me, its just as impressive as federer's... while federer had to deal with a higher ball, nadal did his on a full sprint from the opposite corner of the court.

This is a screenshot the moment just before Harrison's so-called "smash". I don't see Nadal anywhere near "the opposite corner of the court".

this topic was about nadal's shot you useless federer obsessed fan

if i post a superb passing shot from Del Potro, will you reply saying Fernando Gonzalez passing shot 8 years ago was more impressive ?

I think Nadal's was more impressive than Federer's, Fed's is amazing though.

Nadal's had more slice, was at a major, and Harrison's smash in these 2 particular points was better than Roddick's, had more angle, and actually i think got even higher up considering Roddick hit his ball so slowly Fed just waited for it to come down.

Nadal was also full out sprinting for that ball, which Fed had time to get in better position because of how high and slow Roddick smashed it. Considering Nadal just ran down Ryan Harrison's best forehand ever, and then hit that shot from 40 feet in the other direction, the sequence of shots were better.

Roddick hit 2 of the worst volleys ever seen, and then that smash

The fed-roddick one was much more fun, both players laughing and roddick threw the racket on the opposite side.

But awesome point from Nadal!! great angle!

Then you shouldn't have compared it to Federer's shot you whiny little blockheaded ("Bale" of hay brained) oaf.

Bale is not wrong
Basel is the german name
Bale the french name

Since 20% of people are native french speakers in Switzerland, i'm at least 20% right

by the way your avatar is so sissy  is it deliberate ?

Great shot - even more impressive for me than the Fed one, which was off a slow ball, and he didn't have to move too far / fast. But of course, why do we have to rank them - let's just enjoy them all :)

Bc the Federina's are sensitive. Any compliment for Rafa must immediately be countered. It's getting pathetic.
