Solinco Hyper-G vs Head Hawk vs Kirschbaum Pro Line II / Evolution

Cyclone

Semi-Pro
Howdy folks, as stated above, would greatly appreciate any feedback on how these strings compare!

Also, has anyone played different gauges of the Hyper-G (16 vs 16L vs 17) and have thoughts on how they compare? I'm thinking of trying the Hyper-G (currently using Head Hawk 17, previously Kirschbaum Pro Line II 17), and I noticed that the Hyper-G 17 is a 1.20, whereas with both my previous strings the 17 is a 1.25.

Thanks!

I understand your point and with that there was a uniform standard with string gauge sizing. I am a long time Kirshbaum fan and they use 17L for 1.20mm and 1.25mm for 17. Weiss Canon is similar. Both German companies fwiw.

Anyway, I am currently play testing Hyper G 17 and it feels much close to KB Evolution (blue color) than to PL2. It may not be quite as soft as Evolution but has a similar power level and feel. Spin is good with both but I give the slight edge to Hyper G. Evolution had great tension maintenance and durability. I could play with it for months. Too soon for me to comment on Hyper G's durability but others say that it is pretty good. Regular Pro Line 2 has less power and is a stiffer than Hyper G. It is more control oriented and has better feedback.

Thanks tom4ny! Anyone else have any experience with these strings?
I've used PL217, HG16.5 and Cycl 16 ...
To me HyperG was similar to cyclone, with HyperG less pleasant to play with, but it lasted longer ..
PL2 was superior to both in terms of feel, control, and spin ... it was also much better in terms of enjoyment ... really made me want to try Pro Line X ...

(also Solinco Revolution is much better than Hyper G - IMO more control, more spin, longer lasting ... )

I agree with dimkin on HyperG feeling similar to cyclone. Currently have a full bed in my Speed Pros and am a bit disappointed. Yeah I get good spin and control but I feel I get the same plus a bit more power and comfort using MSV Hex for half the price.

Can anyone compare pro line x with tour bite/hyper g? Spin, durability, tension maintenance, power, control, and feel?
