tension loss after 5 hrs or less?

Is it possible that my strings are dead after 5 hrs of play? I am using a hybrid set up: babalot pro hurricane 18g (co-poly) mains and forten sweet 17 crosses strung at 57 lbs.

After less than 4 hrs, the stringbed feels 'looser'... in addition when i move the mains with my fingers, the strings to not 'spring back' into position anymore. Are they dead already?

I knew that the thin gauge would shorten the life of the strings, but I was expecting to get at least 10 hrs out of my strings.

Does anyone have similar experiences with thin-gauged co-polys?

Poly has bad tension maintenance. Especially when the gauge is thinner. And if you hit hard a lot and regularly, it isn't improbable that it's already dead. In fact, some people just break the string before it happens: that's one of the main appeals to co-poly (EDIT: Add spin, but that's when you're already good at swinging the racquet, what most rec guys can't do). Now, if you don't break strings, you're better off with multi, better tension maintenance, you'll enjoy the string for a longer time.
