The most comfortable racquet against mis-hit?

Hi, all.

Which racquet would be the most comfortable racquet (i.e., the least amount of shock) when one mis-hits the ball (i.e., miss the sweet spot).

On this board, the comfort level of racquet seems to be decided when a ball is hit in the sweet spot. However, mishits happen inevitably during the game, especially a lot to me . And when they occur, even so called arm friendly racquet, I think, can be really bad to arm.

I tried Volkl Cat 10, which is considered very arm friendly, to help my sore shoulder. However, when I mishit, especially toward the tip, there is a ton of vibration and shock, which almost killed my shoulder. So, my Cat 10 went to **** :x.

So, what would be the most comfortable racquet "IN YOUR OPINION" in the case of mishit? Of course, the racquet should be comfortable in the sweet spot. However, I assume that the most heavy and head-light racquet would be very comfortable in the sweet spot. Even CAT 10, which is not very heavy weight, is very comfortable in the sweet spot.

I will demo POG OS and C10 pro, but I want to know what other racquets could fit the bill.

Thanks

DK

(For some reason, mis-hit without hypen is changed to mishit on this board, which I think funny.)

those are 2 good racquets. I guess i would say the heaviest racquet you can handle would be best(heavier=less shock, more stable) The most flexable thats comfortable(c-10 is a good ex., it's soft and flexable off center, but due to its higher weight it retains stability on off-center shots. Its also a good idea to not get a racquet with to low swing weight. A higher sw will counter torque and unwanted shock.(i would recommend not going much lower than 320, staying again as high as you can handle.
Most of the volkl's players racquets would probably due well(c10,v10,v9,t10), also the new ncodes(n90,95).

the best thing is proportional stringing , you'll be surprised how your racquet becomes one big sweet spot

really, try it before searching for another frame ...

comfort racquets

I have the tendency to look for comfortable racquets and at certain stage of my tennis life got tennis elbow.
I tried a few including PK 5G, Volkl Cat 10, Volkl Tour 10.
If you want a racquet that plays well and has very little vibration, specially in off sweetspot hits, try the Head Liquid Metal Instinct.
It is a very solid racquet, with good level of power and mobility.
The fact that has a wider frame, helps to that.
Although I am not a fan of wider frames, I like this one a lot.

Good luck

No, it was not a joke! The question was, "Which racquet would be the most comfortable racquet (i.e., the least amount of shock) when one mis-hits the ball (i.e., miss the sweet spot)".
So, the Head is very comfortable for such cases!

The Head LiquidMetal Radical OS and the Instinct are probably the two most comfortable racquets for mishits, that I have encountered recently. Partially agree with Spin Grim on this one.

Heavier racquets absorb more of the shock from the impact. Stiffer racquets will "deform" less and transmit more of the shock energy to your arm. So ideally you are looking for heavier more flexible racquets. Racquets with Liquid Metal or Fiberglass in general tend to be a bit more comfortable feeling all else being equal.

Just don't go for the heavy wood racquets... As much as hitting with wood is nice, it brings me back to days when tennis elbow was beyond rampant.

If you don't mind a lack of feel... some racquets are really kind even if you miss-hit (dangit, censoring mis hit as one word). The Wilson Triad 3.0 was such a racquet. I didn't like it because of lack of feel. But I practically felt almost nothing because it practically absorbed all shock from the racquet.

The Liquid Metal feel has been growing on me... because they're generally very comfortable. But I didn't "miss hit" too often with the LM Prestige so it felt really nice, but I have no idea how it feels on a "miss hit". Otherwise, I found it to be a very comfortable players racquet. Don't think I "miss hit" with a PureDrive enough either--because it always felt super comfortable and even cushioned imo (but also lacked feel).

Wish I could recommend more racquets that are more forgiving on "miss hits" (in terms of comfort)... but I can only think of some of those triads.

For your criteria... I don't think heavier always means better. But light and stiff generally are NOT NICE for "miss hits". Heavier usually helps, but it all depends on the racquet itself. Some are very kind on "miss hits." Some are pure torture.

ps Put quotes on Miss Hit to draw attention to it. You may notice mishit from other posts... they meant to say miss hit in most cases.
