Nadal was playing against good opponent who started well, who didn't allow himself to lower his level too much, who was daring and painted lines.
Rafa.... he tried his usual when he faces pumped up opponent - first was complaining about shot clock, then he tried to push an injury, MTO, slowing down disrupting opponent, in that 3rd set he was 5-5 until McDonald decided it was enough.
I am absolutely sure if he turned that match he would be ready for next round.
Anyway, Rafa will be healthy in spring
