Towel placement

Kyrgios was whingeing that he doesn't have time between points to go to his towel. I think the towels are placed at the side of the court. Wouldn't the logical place be where the centre linesperson normally is? As a server, that is the most central location between serving positions. Obviously the towels need to be obscured so they are not in line of sight.

I never got why they don’t have a towel holder thing like you get in bathrooms just next to their seats. Sun could dry them. No one else need touch them. Anyway so.

Towel theater. How was tennis played for a hundred years without toweling off on every point.

This cretin also had the audacity to tell the umpire that used towel disposal protocol did not apply to him as he was fully vaccinated. Wanted to throw his dirty covid towel in the middle of the court rather than walking a few steps to the disposal box... Unbelievable.

We need towel police on court, armed and ready, for towel infractions!

Seems like a good solution; however that is directly in the line of site across the net…and have you noticed that the players aren’t exactly putting the towels fully in their caddy. So a white towel plus a slight breeze, the towel becomes a flag and that is a let.
That’s why they don’t place them there.

Yes but you could obscure the towel behind a blue box.

The returner also goes for the towel. so for them the current placement of both sides will be closer.
one more at center with camouflage will be good
