Uniqlo Tennis Apparel for USO 2017 - onwards?

Hey everyone!

I am quite into the Uniqlo line, especially with what Kei Nishikori wears. It looks stylish, but they have yet to update their catalog. I know Kei has stopped playing for the rest of the season. Does anyone have any news on anything tennis-related from Uniqlo? Also, another quick question: does anyone have pictures of what Kei and Novak wear on-court (I'd like to see where Uniqlo puts the ventilation on their shirts/shorts). Thank you guys!

Will Uniqlo consider signing any other players? I wonder if they had someone from the ATP Next-Gen signed on? That would be really cool!

I quite like the Uniqlo line as well. Shame Djokovic left Uniqlo as I thought it was very suiting for him, and would've been interested in seeing his future lines; nonetheless Nishi's line seems to be going.

I've seen Nishikori outfit on the EU uniqlo website before Kei announced retirement from the rest of the season. After that it dissapeared. It was very similar to his RG17 outfit. There were white and blue shorts both with those weird yellow/brown/green accents. Polo was the same, but I'm not sure if there was a 3rd colour (there usually release 3-4 colours for each of the players for each slam). Also, tennis category disappeared from the eu website, so I don't think they'll post anything untill Australia.

The NYC store only has v-neck performance tees. No actual Nishikori or tennis lines.

IMO it doesn't look promising when there's no tennis gear in the flagship NYC store a week before the USO.

They should consider Yuichi Sugita. The Next Nishikori?
Yuichi Sugita is barely a year older than Kei Nishikori. I have noticed that Yuichi has the potential to consistently make deep runs in 250-500 tournaments. He only has one title (Antalya 2017), but I do believe he may be what you call a "late bloomer". If Uniqlo persuades Yuichi to drop Babolat's apparel, then it may be possible. I think if he does join Uniqlo, he should wear Mizuno shoes? ;)

I live on the WC. Have you heard of anything Uniqlo Tennis over here on the west coast?

Why did Djokovic leave Uniqlo? Did Lacoste offer more, and Uniqlo decided it would be best to not renew their contract with him? I do like the Uniqlo outfits. They are the only apparel manufacturers that know how to use the color blue, especially the lighter shades.

Do you know of any threads here that are dedicated to Uniqlo tennis apparel? If not, this could be the first. We could post pictures of what's going to be released. I know the website Tennis Identity is usually the first to do so, but there has been nothing from them since this year's Australian Open, in regards to Uniqlo of course. How does their tennis clothes feel? Is it actually worth buying?

Unfortunately I don't know. The only reason I know about NYC is because my friend is up there working with Polo at the Open.

I'm in Florida. By the way, the Disney Springs Uniqlo had ZERO tennis gear. Nothing with the Uniqlo "logo" that is seen on tennis gear (the two squares).

Djokovic's contract was coming to an end, and due to his sub-par results and seeming lack of motivation, neither party was willing to renew a contract. Djokovic first appeared with Uniqlo at R.G. 2012(if I'm correct), and at this year's R.G. he started wearing Lacoste, I presume they offered him more than other companies were willing to take him for. Agree, I really like UQ's Nishikori/past Djokovic lines, they're simple yet look so good, in my opinion.

That's alright. I'm not too surprised Disney has no tennis gear. They would rather promote their collaboration with Uniqlo. Let us all know if you find anything?

But he only had a rough start in 2017? His results weren't too bad in the 2nd half of 2016. He made 3 GS finals. But I can see why Uniqlo would refuse to re-sign Novak. What a shame!

Where are you seeing this? I see the shirts on sale, but no shorts.

I've ordered it last night, they had all sizes but XS, and today it's completely gone. Quite strange.

I've been in Uniqlo stores in both CA and NYC a few years ago and recently. I saw posters of Djokovic and Nishikori, but no serious tennis clothes.

Only golf and general fitness stuff.

They had a whole floor with Nishikori's tennis clothes and accessories in their "Global Flagship" store in London during Wimbledon. I don't know how it looks now though.

I hope that in the future, Uniqlo sign someone like Alex Zverev or Jared Donaldson. Imagine what they'd look like being outfitted by Uniqlo!
