Very Disappointed in Novak Djokovic The Fire Is missing from him.

Novak Djokovic showed he's mentally fragile this year his loss to Berdych at the Italian Open, his choke job against Nadal at the French Open up 4-2 in the final set. Now Novak's complete capitulation against Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final.

I don't like Murray but he showed he was the mentally tougher player today. As for Novak, he needs to get his focus and concentration back.

I had a bad feeling about today after Novak almost blew his match against Del Potro in the semifinals despite having two match points in the second set tiebreaker.

No excuses from me, maybe 2011, was just a special year for Novak he seems to only rise to the occasion in Australia.

Very disappointed in Novak today he's not playing like the number one player in the world losing all these matches in the slam semis and finals.

He had to win in straights today, the semi took its toll. he will win slams again

Well he better pick it up fast or else Novak is losing that number one ranking.

Novak is making things tougher for himself all the CHOKING against Nadal, Haas, and Del Potro this year is very disturbing.

I think this is the beginning of the end for Djokovic. Of the past 5 Grand Slam finals he's played, he's won only two of them. Not great given his reputation as a big match / clutch player. I think that's the first one he's lost in straight sets. It's also the first time in recent years that he's failed to back up after a tough 5 setter as he had in the semi final. He's been a clear number one for the past 2 and a half years but his days now look numbered.

Didn't know major semifinals were best of 3

I think Novak was flat today after the semi final. Andy deserves it though. Djokovic will never have as good a year as 2011, but he'll win more Slams.

Novak is only twenty six years old he's a young man I don't think it is the end for him yet.

BUT I do agree that something is going on in Novak's head he's not mentally tough anymore.

All the choking especially against Nadal in Paris I was STUNNED he had a 4-2 lead in the final set yet found a way to lose.

Against Del Potro two days ago again Novak blew two match points he did win it in five sets but still what's with the CHOKING?

I don't recall Nadal choking this much or Federer choking the way Novak is choking.

Novak seems to be suffering from that French Open loss to Nadal and now this crushing loss to Murray in straight sets.

It seems to me Novak couldn't cope with the British crowd all on Murray's side he simply folded mentally this is going to haunt Novak for a while.

Don't forget Dimitrov who was cramping and injured the whole time but still managed to beat choking Djokovic

Fire is missing from Djokovic?

How did he win the semi against Del Potro then?

Novak made the match more difficult by not closing it out in four sets. Novak's concentration this year has gone DOWN. The killer instinct is missing he also BLEW that match against Nadal in Paris a lot of choking from Novak Djokovic this year.

I don't think he choked against Delpo. I just think Delpo played great and Djokovic still found a way to win.

I also don't think it is related to the RG loss this year. I think it dates back to RG last year when he didn't really get into the match until the third set. Then he looked lackluster during Wimbledon. Then he let the wind take him out of it mentally in NYC. And, you've already noted this year's losses.

I don't expect him to win them all, but in the prime of his career, I think he has to find a way to win one or two of those matches. USO looms large now for alpha male status on the ATP tour.

I think it also highlights how impressive the accomplishments of Federer and Sampras were with regards to extended periods of dominance.

He can't win them all.

Though I do agree that there seems to be a bit of something missing from his usual clutch player status. He's looked very ordinary (for his standards) and lackluster for the better part of the semi and final here. His usually relatively clean play has gotten messy and ugly more often than not in the big matches. Credit to all his opponents that have defeated him, but I do think Novak has a bit of a mental block as well. Maybe it's the nerves??

He's losing a bit more than I'd like these days.

Yeah, he's definitely not as clutch these days, but he's still a big match player and he'll come up big during his favourite time year coming up: the summer hard court season. If he still struggles, then we can start to consider his period of dominance is coming to an end.

His first big test will be at the Masters 1000 Rogers Cup in Montreal. Let's see if he can defend that title and go from there.

He can't do his gorilla like screams at Wimbledon, he feels to constrained and therefore can't perform.

His true fans can be content that he's become the player he was destined to be after his 2007 season, where he appeared to be well on the way to the top only to stall a bit for three years. Nowadays his losses take place within the greater context of supremacy in the rankings.

I'm not disappointed. He defeated three guys, two in straights, that he never beat on grass before. Murray came to play today and he was tired. I hope he rebounds quickly.
