Who returns serve best with a one-handed backhand?

My vote would go to Haas.

Quite a few Djokovic-like early blocks, from him off the backhand side with less Federer-like passive chipping.

Who do you think takes it?

A confident Federer, of course.
He's the top 1hbh player, and everyone serves to his backhand.
Now a TENTATIVE Federer vs a confident Almagro, I don't know.

Getting the ball back in play without letting the opponent get a free winner off of it or the most aggressive return?

The best one handed backhand returner for option 1 would be Federer, not too easy to hit a winner off his return.
The best one handed backhand returner for option 2 would be Almagro or Haas, pretty good pace and can get it deep as well.

Haas has the best one hander on tour right now and one of the best ever -- up their with Guga and Lew Hoad...

However Federer's slice has proven very effective on return...

Gasquet has the best one-handed return. But nobody hits to it because his forehand is actually worse than his backhand.

Should we think it over?
Haas has a forehand equal to anyone's.
Haas has a serve equal to anyone's.
Haas has a volley equal to anyone's.
So why is Haas not a top 10?
Age.
Burnout.
Less footspeed.
And his backhand when he's not on is not the best, or not nearly the best.
