Sadly he could not put the icing on the cake, as he lost a rough one in the St Tropez final.

Orleans, France: Tomas Machac vs [8] Jack Draper
Braga, Portugal: Duje Ajdukovic vs [Q] Oriol Roca Batalla

Are you expecting a Jack-Jack Attack tomorrow or will there be Machac in the air and on the winner-board? Btw, quite a stacked draw in Orléans, everybody from Gasquet and Paire to Goffin and Molcan featured in the draw.

Abdullah Shelbayh from Jordan has had quite a run to the final, taking out Brandon Holt, my new fave Ethan Quinn, and Ryan Peniston on the way. Watch out for this youngster! (Feature from 2022: https://www.atptour.com/en/news/abdullah-shelbayh-atp-challenger-tour-feature-2022)

Cobolli cracks the Top 100 with a surprising run on his least favorite surface. A win in the final would have actually crowned him the n. 1 Roman ahead of Berrettini... But with Matteo not expected to return anytime soon, that distinction appears to be just a matter of time.

Cobolli taking his sweet time to cracking the top 100 :D

Good stuff, though, think he's #3 of 2002 class (behind Musetti and Shelton), also behind 2003/2004 products (Rune, Alcaraz, Van Assche, and Fils).

It's actually a pretty impressive result, fruit of lots of hard work and a very consistent run in recent months. Because, really, he isn't this spectacular prospect. Fairly complete, but no real top-level weapons.

Doubt this happens often but, tomorrow's final in Chennai, Luca Nardi vs Sumit Nagal, will be a winner-take-all opportunity to break into the top 100 in the rankings (for their first time). I'm sure it will be a nervy affair.

Michelsen seems to have suddenly come apart mentally. I really want this kid to do well but he has begun to self-destruct. My dude is down a set to Sonego in the Cagliari challenger, wins the second 6-2, up 3-0 in the third and IMPLODES. Loses 6-3.

I don't recall that being an issue until the epic collapse in Los Cabos against Thompson. Kid can't close out a tough match. 10-5 on the year prior to that match against Thompson. 3-8 since.

American in Italy visiting wife family, flicking thru the channels and found Turino challenger. Surprised to see so many top ATP guys in this tournament, is this common? And not to stir up trouble, is it fair for these guys to drop down to a lower level like this? Hard enough for lower guys to make money, even worse when these guys who are on ATP tour try to vulture these tournaments.
