hi everyone,

i am searching for a new racket. It is a pretty big challenge. Any opinions about the Wilson Pro Tour BLX or Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus ?

I am a 4.5 player that is currently using Wilson Pro Staff Classic 6.0 95.

If you use the Search feature, you will be able to find plenty of opinions on both frames.

However, replacing a classic like the PS 6.0 95 will probably be very difficult, as modern frames feel kinda cheap and toy-ish compared to old school frames.

If I were you I would start with 2011 wilson replacement of your racket think blx 6.1 95 that is unless you are looking to drastically alter your game/ racket feel. Than there are lots more options depending what are you trying to gain from this new "modern" racket. IMHO Pure Drive is the original game changer in tennis world of modern rackets. There are now multitudes of Pure Drive concept copies by virtually every racket manufacturer so you can start there.

What are you searching for? You're already using a winner in your hand! What made you decide to look for another racket? I'm only asking because it'll be easier for us to make recommendations but your search will end up in disaster if you're not happy with what you've got right now because you just can't compare your old racket with the newer rackets out there even if you find one that's close in stats because they're made of totally different materials. I've been a PSC 6.1 95 user myself and very happy with it but out of curiousity tried my hands on the Wilson BLX 6.1 tour 90 and I was blown away by it's feel, touch and power! Lot's of directional control too. I end up buying a used one at ----. Try to demo both rackets and then decide before investing money on a new one- you'll have an easy transition to these new racket since youre able to handle the PSC 6.0 95. :)
