I am calling the upset here. Murray has looked poor all tournament Querrey has the game to unsettle Murray and take him out.

Fun fact the two previous times Murray was defending a Grand Slam he lost in the quarters in straight sets.
No no no - we all have to get with it and learn to call Querrey Audrey now. Please please let it happen.

(See main Wimbledon thread for explanation. :) )

Win in Acapulco vs. Nadal must have helped Querrey's confidence.

If I had to call an upset in this round, this is the match. The rest look pretty straightforward to me.

Querrey's win against Anderson has convinced me that his mind is in the right place. He has routinely been down in his own service games... and pulled out the hold. He has had match points, blown them, and still kept his composure. That is what you need against Andy Murray. You have to take what he gives you, accept that you are going to have lapses, but maintain composure.

His post match interview seemed really good, too. He really has confidence in his ability to pull out the games... and the wins. I really haven't seen that before from him.

So I'll call the upset here. Querrey in 4.

Please let an American male make a grand slam semifinal for the first time since 2009 Wimbledon because ...

Querry played 5 more sets than Muzz and two 5 setters in past two matches. Taking out Tsonga on grass suggests pretty fine form though. Gonna pick Muzz in 3 though, mostly out of necessity.

Querrey has defeated Tsonga, Anderson, Djokovic, and Mahut in the last two years at W. Anderson held 61 straight times (without facing break points) before Querrey broke him. Querrey is the first real test M will face this tournament. We'll see how that hip is if he has to go five sets.

Querrey has proved he can be dangerous at Wimbledon two years in a row. However, I think he should feel tired against Murray. Murray in 4.

I want to see Querrey win this, and in the other thread I did say he makes the semis, so I'll stick to this upset. Querrey in 4.

Murray in a crazy match like all his matches so far. Querrey may steal a set or maybe push it to 5 but I think Murray will find a way. I was wrong about nadals match though.

I hope Sam Querrey wins this! Nothing against Andy Murray but I love Marin Cilic and he has more chances to reach final if Sam wins

Hopefully Querry makes mince of Andy. Not that I don't like Andy, but Wimbledon have shown favoritism in terms of his scheduling, and this to me made me draw the line.
And why is Venus getting CC all the time? Its been quite bad the scheduling and where they play. That Novak didnt have time to play is so bad, start to wonder if they really are trying to make it more difficult for certain players. Andy could have played a couple of days on another court too. This is really start to annoy me big time. Also its nice for the audience to have chance to see different players.

Its impossible for Querrey to win this. I mean back to back 5 setters and after that comes out and beats Andy Murray at the Central court on Wimbledon.... When we put it in words we can see how unlikely is that to happen.

Murray's looking short of title-winning form, even taking into account the fact his form is usually patchy in early rounds, but... I think he'll still take the win here. In 3, or 4 tight sets.

As for the court scheduling discussion, I'm sick and fed up of it to be honest. It's the same whinging and moaning every year. At every slam. It's impossible to please every one, since opinions are always going to differ. Just suck it up and deal with it for goodness sake; chances are, the next slam will have scheduling that favours your player and doesn't help the other.

I am going with an upset here as well. Not convinced by Murray at all.

Does Sam have a prayer on this one ?? Andy usually doesn't lose to players that doesn't move well and are slower than him.

I would like for the upset to happen as well. And I believe that it could've happened if Sammy didn't play back to back 5 setters. But now he's too tired, especially against someone like Muzz who chases down every shot. One and a half days of rest is not enough to recover.

So you hope Murray loses because of the tournament schedule. That's nice logic.

Sam playing very well, his first serve is at the peak in terms of accuracy and placement! I think Sam will win over Murray right now! We will see!
