SRD95 is more like "tweener", very forgiving, feel like bigger sweetspot, light swingweight.

You can hit spin serve easy with this frame.

DOwnside: Difficult to control unless strung at very high tension.

In comparison with RD7: nothing similar except the grip shape

mmm...don't think you can classify the Super RD Tour 95 as a tweener. Maybe a lighter weight player's racquet, but no tweener. A tweener would be like a Wilson n6.2.

Where the heck did you win a new Super RD Tour 95? I've been scouring the internet looking for one with no luck. Want to sell it?

I think I'll be keepin her, hits sweet....

Anything comparable playability wise in the current yonex line?

I have two SRD Tour 95's. Love them. Have some serious heft to them. TW states 12.5 oz, 327 SW, 62 Stiffness. My groundstrokes were always hit with some pace to them, and serves were pretty. One thing you must do is, as with most if not all players racquets, to prepare your strokes early. You can't cheat.

Haven't played any of the RDS line but have the RDX500MP. The SRD is much heavier to swing and does carry more pop. You can spin the crap out of it but I have always felt that it's due more to the square head than anything else. I also have an MP Tour 1 98 and it does compare slightly to it. However, the MP does play slightly lighter... slightly.

If I were to compare it to a current line based on numbers alone, it might be the RDS002 Tour.

The Super RD Tour 95 is pretty far from a "tweener". You've definitely got to have "grooved and refined" strokes to get the most out of it. Long, fluid swings will yield very good power and spin. It's my favorite spin doctor in the Yonex line. I used it for almost three years.

Anybody know how much different the RD Tour 95 plays from the RD Tour 90? I used to have a tour 90 and thought it played really well. I've always wondered if the 95 played just like a larger 90 or had a completely different feel to it.

The SRD tour 90 requires long complete swing to execute decent ground strokes, which is quite opposite to the SRD 95. I used the SRD 95 for several years before going back to Head.

The SDR 95 is so much easier to use than the SRD 90, it is like driving a car with auto transmission

hit it today

my impressions are nice stick, easy to hit, but I think it needs to be strung on the high end for me to hit it in with my fast full swing.....

Nice serving stick, huge kick and slice potential....didn't get to volley with it...switched to head sticks in my bag for tonights match.

no problem at all finding the sweet spot regularly but a lot of shots were flying long....set up key I think.

don't think I'll be switching....but I'll string it a little tighter with some n gut and play with her a bit more.

I was gonna bid on the SRD Tour 95 that I think you won. The seller wouldn't tell me the grip size, so I just stayed away. What is the grip size btw?

p.s. Try lead tape on the frame your SRD Tour 95. Makes the frame even better!

It wasn't listed as and srd tour 95 I thought it was an rd 7 but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived......it was just listed as a yonex racquet.

grip is a 3 built up with a babolat kit to about a 5....custom setup not normal shape....

it is jacked with lead at 3 and 9 maybe too much about 8 inches I would guess one strip. Super stable. Gonna get some gut on it soon a little tighter strung set up and keep hitting around with it.

I recently got an iprestige on the auction site too, nearly new that is in the no 1 slot at the moment with my austrian i radical in the 2 spot in the bag.

yeah it was posted as Yonex Interwoven H.M. Graphite. I actually won one myself listed the same way, because that is what the label says on that side. Anyway, with my SRD Tour 95, I have even more lead tape than that. 3 strips around the head from 4 o'clock to 8 o'clock. Gets alot of spin. I also have the SRD Tour 90. I have mine weighted the same way. Without the weight, I got good control, but my forehand seemed to fly a little much. Don't really know how to explain it. But after adding that lead set up, I can pretty much put the ball wherever I want. Good luck!

Exactly my experience with my limited hitting with it....couldn't keep forehand in, I assumed string and tension.....and my unfamiliarity with the stick...I have a long fast forehand stroke and have always played a players stick.

What is your string set up.....???

I was using a full syngut 16g set up. Tension in the low-mid 60's. I wasn't quite getting what I wanted out of that. I also tried some full 15g syngut- even worse. So I am going to test out a 17g poly/syngut hybrid probably in the high 50's. I am hoping this will give me some insane spin, good control, and decent power.

I am hoping the hybrid works in all my other frames as well. I consider the SRD Tours (90 and 95) my main racquets right now. But I also have a Yonex MP Tour 1 98, a Wilson NBlade 98, a Babolat Pure Storm Team, a Head Flexpoint Radical 98, and a Head Flexpoint Prestige 93. Wish me luck!

If you'd like to try the Yonex Super RD Tour 90 instead of the 95, I just posted three matching rackets and a bag on e-bay. They are all grip size 4 1/2 and all strung with synthetic gut at 62 pounds. Just search on 'Yonex Super RD Tour" and you should find the post. These should go for a low price and includes a nice bag. If you find you don't like the rackets, just donate them to a local school or some club and keep the bag. The auction should go that low...

Just a thought if you'd like to try the 90 instead.
