Looks like the 100P will be available Late Feb and the Speed in April, in Japan.

I wonder whether they'll become available in the USA/Europe as well. I like the cosmetics, especially the yellow racket.

Are they heavier or lighter? What are the diffs from the first gen?

The Speed which is released in late February is meant to be more maneuverable and so I assume this means it is also fairly light.
The 100P (P = Power) is basically the power version of the 100S, I think. So I'd assume they would be of comparable quality in build.
There has yet to be any release of specifications.
I'm glad the 100P is the Yellow racket, I love the cosmetics and hopefully it will be as good a quality as the 100S and I'd possibly buy one.

100P - Perfect for those people thinking 100S lacks power, 100S already has high ass power if you lead the SW up to the SW of an PD.

I want the 100 Speed looks sexy, and will go with my 100S as well.

When stuck on the sweet spot, the 100S has way too much power. However, if you refer to the 100S sweet spot data on TW university, the area is small and low. Off center hits are rather unforgiving.

100P seems like a wider body and slightly longer (27.25") version of the 100S which presumably makes it more power-oriented. Strange, because they already have the new ezone xi line for those who like more power. But according to their graph/chart-thingy it is for those who want the power level of the ezone xi but with a more crisp feel.

it's not really a game improvement racket. i think it is still a tweener, especially considering the 100 head size. also, it's 290 g and game improvement rackets are usually even lighter. the balance point is near-even (330mm).

also, the grommet structure of the 100S is supposed to make the string bed more spin-friendly, compared to the different grommet structure of 98D and 95D. The 100P will have a grommet structure more similar to the D's than to the S since they're emphasizing power. It might be designed more for the flat hitter than the spinner.

I wonder if any pro player will be endorsing the 100P when it comes out.

From the pictures on the Yonex website, they seem to have the same grommet structure as the 100S.

They did however emphasize that the handle is suppose to promote a better grip hence more power. How does that work? I wouldn't have a clue.

What universe have you been living in. Sweetspot is huge, if you cant find it play with a PSLGT and try find the sweetspot on that.

And i wouldn't say WAY TOO much power, have you tried a PD/APD they have more power.

nvm. VCS is lower power than VC100S, seems like i might not get it. It will hurt my serves like an ass, i want the 2012 roddick, waiting to the 2013 APD is out and seeing if that is good or else roddick for me =D.

The last time I saw some kind of new grip technology was when Babolat had them weird shaped handles that were meant to be easier to grip, I haven't seen them around in a while though. Seems pretty interesting.

I really like the look of the 100P. I really need some more power in my game after playing with 95sq" and even 93sq" over the last few years, I've been longing for a racket that does more of the work for me, and one that allows me to access spin easier.
Hopefully these rackets aren't too pricey. I don't know where the 'SPEED' will fit in to the line of rackets, where as it appears the 100P will be a variation of the 100S - and hopefully will have the same quality build. I also really like the look of the yellow racket, Yonex haven't made a top range yellow racket since the RDS 001 a few years back!

The translation on the Japanese site contradicted the specification box at the bottom. I think we are to go off the information in the specification box, the 100P will be available in April, and the Speed in February.

My universe is just a 9 hour drive from where you are. :)

The sweet spot on the APD is bigger than the 100S, and yes it has more power than the 100S.

Obviously, we have different yardsticks...

Wozniacki never seems to find the sweet spot on her 100S.. so maybe you are right!

These rackets seem like tweeners to me. maybe worth looking at. Will these rackets be as stiff as the Vcore 100 S ?
Average weight is 290 G which is pretty light overall.

The 100S has a bigger sweetspot than the APD if you use lead to make it the same weight. I have a around 332 gram racquet with lead at 8-10 and 2-4 and the racquet has a massive sweetspot. Wozniacki is playing worse because other females are playing better and she can't push or counterpunch them anymore, although stock it has a nice vertical sweespot but the horizontal sweetspot is lacking (this is holding your racquet up), so leading it will help with both the light swingweight and light weight.
