I always find it interesting to see how much of the world shares and knows of my own personal interests. I love getting all kinds of responses. You can get some of the most interesting convos in some of the places you never expect them.
I was in Peru, travelling from Aguas Calientes (Hot Springs) in the Andes to Cusco, I got off a train at a place called Oleyentambo and met my driver, who was going to take me there. As always I start asking the questions, and when I started asking the questions about tennis, the driver became very animated and eager to have the discussion. So for like 3 hours straight we just talked tennis as we drove around the mountains. He said his dream was always to go to Wimbledon and watch Federer and Nadal play, they were his favs. I pressed him to tell me if he liked one more than the other, he said he felt he could relate more to Nadal, but was more blown away by Federer's majestic play, and didn't miss any matches of them. He was fond of Djokovic also, he said Novak's courage impressed him, because of the way he believed, he said he preferred Fedal, but couldn't say a bad word about Novak.
