Zverev hails beaten Djokovic as 'greatest of all time' (msn.com)

"I feel sorry for Novak, but he's won 20 Grand Slams, 550 (36) Masters series or whatever, you can't have everything," said fourth seed Zverev
"He's the greatest player of all time, he will win the most Grand Slams out of anybody on tour, but I'm also happy that I'm in the final."
"It's incredible beating the best player in the world undoubtedly right now and in this season."

At 23, Djokovic only had 1 slam. Zverev is 24. He can still put himself in there if he is motivated. Not too late.

It's not a matter of time. He knows he's not as good as Djokovic. Pretty much no one is.

With those words, Zverev is merely boosting his own ego to make himself and his win look even better. Nothing else to see here.

Zverev played a great match after being down 6-1, 3-1, he deserves to leave these Olympics with a singles medal.

Always easy to give nice words after a win. Not as easy after a loss, however. But he shouls be very proud of himself, real gutsy win.

Thiem in 2019 barely won against Djokovic and couldn't serve it out when he needed to but that's even the best of those.
AO 19 was 4th round and he got trashed by Rafa in the SF, and 2017 Djokovic is just that- 2017 Djokovic..and that was in the QF also.

Typical TTW goalpost shifting to fit a narrative.

Players deserve credit for wins. Period.
"Barely won" applies to many of Djokovic's greatest victories as well. Thiem deserves a lot of credit for that victory.

Thiem deserves credit for RG 19 win,and you said it yourself it applies to MANY of Djokovic's wins in Grand Slams.How many of those wins in SF and F stage of grand slams Thiem or Next gen have against Big 3.I can't remember more than 2 maybe and none of them resulted in Slam victory.
