The old technology was 6,000 carbon fibers, the new flex carbon is 3,000. Same weight.
why should we buy less carbon ? more carbon is better, no ?

Cheaper to produce presumably? Bit like Babolat's reformulation of VS ie fewer but bigger fibres.
Flex may mean less stiffening material if the decrease in fibres is anything to go by and that may be all to the good in terms of feel.
Sorry to be anal on racquet specs but may I ask how far is it from the tip
of the head ? In terms of point or inches ?
RPM Team is softer and has more power, but less control.
Is there Plus (extended, 27.5 in) version?
We wanted to make the racket more flexible. Less dense pattern = more flexible in our testing.
Don't have the info off hand.
Dear babolat official. Will there also be a pure storm line being released as well.
I wonder who is going to be the first person to post a thread about being injured after playing with the new Babolat frames. Probably a new user or a rookie..
On a more serious note, these frames are getting a lot of hype. Even more so than the Pro Staffs, Prestiges, and rebooted Prince Graphite frames.. Folks, be sure to demo the frame to see if it actually works for you as a player instead of jumping on the bandwagon and paying $200+.

@Babolat Official
What are some easy ways to authenticate a racquet besides the usual "buying from a authorized retailer"?
As much as I would like to, sometimes it makes more sense for me to but second hand from others who are moving on to a new racquet.
Around the half position of the hoop is 23 in "21-23-21" profile for the strike, right?
Renamed the Pure Control.

Can you tell us what month this will come out? I have two 2009 Pure Storm GTs that are 4 years old and I'm ready to get new racquets. The guy at my tennis shop has recommended a few raquets to demo. I will get the 2012 Pure Storm GT if I don't like any others because I like my current racquets. I'd like to try out the new version of the Pure Storm and was wondering how long I'd have to wait.
Besides the tech you mentioned, is there any difference between the Storms and the new Pure control?
I know everyone has been on a Pure Strike bonanza, but I just want to throw out some mad props to the APD 2013. This racquet never ceases to amaze me. So much power yet so much control, more heavy spin then the new crop of "spin" racquets. Sooo confidence inspiring, tons of fun.
Thumbs up Babolat.
The Pure Strike 100 is absolutely Magical. I beefed it up from 10.1-12.1 in our store's demo and I may switch away from my Aero Plus for this racquet. SO much feel. It plays like a hybrid between a Pure Drive and a Blade but with a super aerodynamic flight path. I personally feel that Tsonga is probably playing with a customized 100 head size but that they are using him to try and sell the Strike Tour. I will have a full review coming on the Pure Strike 100 in the next few weeks.

"The Pure Strike range will go on sale in December 2013 featuring three versions – the 305g Pure Strike, a heavier Pure Strike Tour and the lighter, more forgiving Pure Strike 100 with a larger head size.
A fourth version of the Pure Strike, with a more open 16x19 string pattern will be released shortly before the 2014 French Open, while Babolat are also set to release a new string in time for the Australian Open." (some source online)
Is it true that the Pure Strike will go on sale in December this year in the US? Or will it be January? And I am correct in that the 16 19 version will release in April?

Are you sure the storm line is being replaced by the control line. I remember seeing a picture of the new storm. It had a orange color scheme on it and no it wasnt the strike or the new control. Anyone have the pic?
The new Pure Control (Storm) is what I'm waiting for! Though I still don't really like the pj.
Daniel, when do you think more details about weight, balance, stiffness will be available?
Thanks!
Daniel,
How does the set up for the PD play work? Do you have to specify strings and tension? If so, what strings are supported? I want to stock up on bab strings before i get the trial frame...
Hi Daniel,
Early on in this thread, a number of us suggested that Babolat could re-introduce the pre-BT7 VS gut and brand it 'classic'. I think you were going to relay that to the appropriate people. Have you ever had any feedback on whether this is being seriously considered?
Apologies if you've already provided an answer to this: the thread has become rather long, and so I fear it may be buried within!

I'm hoping that it'll be December 2013, but TW says Jan 2014. A couple of the local shops here have also given the date of Jan. 14 or 15 as the official release date. Not sure why Babolat wouldn't want to release it before Christmas to take advantage of the holiday boost in sales.
Any string will work (even other brands). String type, tension, damp customizing frame, etc.. we've got it covered.
Daniel,
Do you have a timeline for the Pure Control replacing the Pure Storm moniker/line? Thanks!
