Striker, is the mrs from ghana?
I watched highlights of their game vs s.korea.
geez they look good!
The dance they do after a score is very deflating to watch if u are the other team so I
hope the USA team doesnt go down early!

Go jozy!

Asamoah Guyan Didn't get to do his dance last night, but I'd watch out for it during the portugal game: http://youtu.be/ALMVAGeaXSM?t=1m35s

Have to give ghana some dap for those fly haircuts.

I've eaten in some jacked up places, Afghan, Iraq, Horn of Africa, Mindanao, etc. and I never saw a rat/mouse in a restaurant until we went to that chinese place.

Has anyone eaten here before? http://www.heebeen.com/

Going there for lunch to celebrate a buddies promotion.

I've been to heebeen. sorry for the pun.

I went when they went on a Groupon Campaign.
Korean BBQ meats are good. They have a good variety of cooked and sushi too. They got this really good boneless short rib bbq.
It's kinda pricy (~$30 a year ago...) don't know how much now.

Thinking about a Yonex G Tour 330. Anyone played with one before? I figure, I may as well get a heavy stick since I put in so much lead anyways.

My first day working in Orlando my co-worker asked if I wanted to eat at a Caribbean restaurant. I obliged even though I'd never eaten Caribbean before. Right after that, he called the guy who owned the place to let him know we were coming at 11:45. He told me that the guy required a wake up call to be ready for lunch. That should have alerted me to a major problem. This place was in the bad area of town and the place was disgusting.

Fast forward a few years later and I warned a new co-worker of mine not to go there. He eventually relented after about 6 months. His wife called him at lunch that day and asked him where he was eating. His answer was "Someplace I'll never take you.".

to be fair, having mice running around is kinda like a humble brag for a 1st world type of joint. it's a sign that the place made it. they are looking at the mice like, look we CAN make you into food but we'll just let you roam.

I hit with the lighter version. Had no pop what so ever. The TW reviews say the heavier version is an absolute club, even form some of their 4.5+ testers.

Yes, but I also read the books, so its not as 'dramatic' as I already know who's going to die...

Haha I did start reading the books too but have been sidetracked way too much...still the books are much better to read than Tolkien's LoTR books. I read those before the movies and boy was that a task of maintaining some sense of sanity with all those hobbit folk songs! haha

Also heard Martin's thinking of extending the story to 8 books?? He keeps getting more long-winded the more he writes...

What are your life skills?

what do you want to do, besides, of course, playing tennis?

thanks for responding.

well i have college degree, lets see. i would say generally basic life skills that most people have that can be easily translated to a 9-5 job

honestly i really really need a job, so it's not even what i want to do. and i dont really want to play tennis that much anymore. i guess i am getting burnt out. i want to be able to sit at a desk and be "bored" than be doing labor all day every day on my feet. so yea, anything at a desk really.

i will be happy to provide references/ more info/ etc. entry level type of stuff just to get me back on track.

Have you posted your resume on monster.com, i am sure your school has job fairs as well?
Usually you can get a great entry level that way. You can even contract to hire.
But really though, if you are in it for the long term, you should really find something you have some sort of interest in. Most of the time, after awhile, it's not the money that determines job satisfaction. You'll be spending a third of your life doing everyday. May as well make it worth it because of all the traffic jams and politics you'll be getting regardless.
just my 2 cents.

you can start by putting a resume together to figure out what you can actually do.

sap! i do have a resume. i should probably update it though. the problem is, despite my academic degree, i have been doing tennis for the last 5 years. how do i convince people to give me a desk job now

well then good luck finding "any" desk job... or you can start convincing people by putting some effort into a resume for a field you have interest/exp in

zap, like i said, after updating your resume; post it on monster.com. You'll get hits especially if you have a undergrad. You may not get a higher paying job, but it'll get your foot in the door.

FWIW, it's a good thing to ask you friends and family about job openings, but you also need to have an idea of exactly what you're looking for. Even if you do some temp work, they will ask you what you're skilled at doing.
