that torrent doesn't work, have no idea how to download that

You need a software such as uTorrent (free). Clicking the torrent will download it to your drive. Double-click will open it in uTorrent.

If you click the Magnet Link, it will automatically open it in uTorrent and download.

Marvin's Room (1996) - Diane Keaton, Streep, Dicaprio, Deniro. Nice movie about a lady looking after her bed-ridden father (and balmy mother).

Gwen Verdon as Aunt Ruth was hilarious. Diane Keaton had a nomination for Best Actress.

Just saw The Maze Runner. It's decent/not bad. Makes me want to see the sequel, which has never happened before for this kind of movie (e.g., Hunger Games).

TLW a.k.a FOD was a terrible terrible poster. All I have to say about this. Nice avatar otherwise.

And haven't watch The Maze Runner at all.

So how is it? I don't usually watch bible inspired movies, but Ridley Scott is a one of my favorite directors. He never directed a bad movie so far.

Nothing we haven't seen from Gladiator in terms of grandeur and CGs.

The succession of plagues are explained while The Ten Commandments Tablets and Ark Of The Covenant are left for the audience to fill-in-the-blanks.

Oculus- Interesting. Weird. Tense. But come on, you invite a supernatural spirit into your home and expect to defeat it?

The Signal (2014) - Quite interesting. Alien contact theme. Same guy who acted in Oculus and The Giver. I was just wondering whether Oculus might be worth a glance.

Laurence Fishburne, too.

Only three films have won the 5 "premium" Oscars you mention and two dealt with psychiatry in a major way: Cuckoo's Nest and Silence of the Lambs. The other was It Happened One Night, with Clark Gable.

^ Yes, Ollinger.

Jack and Anthony are two fine actors. I've seen a bunch of enjoyable movies of both actors in the last few months. Something's gotta give, About Schmidt and the Bucket List to name just three.

I watched Nightcrawler. Incredible acting by Jake Gyllenhall who rarely blinks through the entire movie in his portrayal as a sociopath struggling to establish a career in LA.

The Counselor, and a string of bad movies since Gladiator and you can add Exodus to that list. I mean there was no way he could ever compete with the great Cecil DeMilles to begin with but yeah. Go watch The Ten Commandments instead. Its a classic. Exodus felt like a shoddy rehash.

Thanks for the opinion. Will probably skip watching it in theater.

Actually didn't see The Councelor yet, but I will. However, I think no other movie after Gladiator could be called bad:

Hannibal - A good movie. Worthy continuation of Silence of the Lambs saga.
Black Hawk Down - Decent, expected propaganda, but was actually a nice surprise.
Matchstick Man - A nice movie. Really liked it.
Kingdom of Heaven - Excellent epic, especially directors cut - not 2h butchered by Hollywood producers version.
A Good Year - A nice feel good movie. Both Russel Crowe and Marion Cotillard are good there.
Body of Lies - didn't watch but looks promising.
Robin Hood - A decent version of classic story.
Prometheus - bad reviews but I liked it. Maybe because I always loved Alien movies. I even found Aliens vs Predators watchable
The Counselor - Didn't watch as said already.
Exodus - Didn't watch but skeptical so that is why I am asking.

Overall waaay above Hollywood average. And that is without listing older legendary movies like Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma & Louise, Gladiator, ...

Anyway, I like Ridley Scott movies. That is all :)

Sorry.

LOL, I thought you rate every movie you see as the best ever evah. I sort of enjoyed the maze parts. If you look at it that way the premise of most of these so-called scifi movies does not work.

Try The Signal (2014 version).

Completely agree with your list actually! I never understood why Robin Hood got so much hate. Blade Runner and Alien were legendary. Mr. Scott at his very best!

Saw "Interstellar" finally, would put it in the "Heartwarming but Dumb" category along with films like "Ghost" (Swayze, Whoopi) and "Field of Dreams" (Costner), a tearjerker with enough action thrown in to keep the men happy.

It is Scifi film. and It will be reality one day. we have to figure out a way to create a warmhole just like in the movie. and we will one day move to another planet to live when our sun goes supernova or global warming kills off the planet.

That planet with all water I would not want to live on unless you are a surfur, of course

It was actually to do more with the evolution of mankind transcending dimensions and having the ability to manipulate space and time but sure that works too :)

Watched A Most Wanted Man, just an ok film, to put it mildly.

Looking forward to Big Hero 6 and Paddington, more fun for the upcoming holidays though I'm a bit too old for those, but...

^^ Yeah, right. You're in Houston so stop by my brother's office at Rice U., where he's an astrophysicist, and he'll give you some pointers on "transcending dimensions" and "manipulating space and time." And be prepared for your body weight to approach infinity in the process.

Unfortunately for me, my last movie was Abraham Lincoln: Zombie Killer.

Total waste of time, useless movie if there ever was one. It took me and made me stoopider.

I'm sorry. I'm so turned off by the waste of my time and money, and the waste of so many people's efforts with the film, that it's actually about vampires.

So it did make me stupider indeed.

Hahaha! will do. I actually the documentary narrated by Kip Thorne (scientific consultant on interstellar) on time as a physical space--interesting stuff to say the least.

Saw "The Theory of Everything". If you like movies about people (even intelligent people) wallowing through the excruciating miseries of their lives, then this one is for you. Good acting. A bit unfocused.

Anyway, just saw Minority Report. Missed that movie for some reason, so far. Not bad at all, considering is has Tom Cruise in it, and I am not a big fan.
Maybe that is why I didn't see it earlier.
