Night Train To Lisbon - 2013 - Jeremy Irons.
Loved the movie. It's about a professor who goes to Lisbon on a very interesting adventure.
I was surprised as to how interesting this movie was. I was mesmerized and am already thinking I need to see this again sometime. Sadly, seems some critics have panned it as having an outmoded style, and not enough tension. This movie seems to have gone unnoticed.

Such brilliant films! It's been a while since I've seen Vertigo. The one shot take in The Rope still amazes me! Hitchcock was a master.Yup, now that reminds me of The Rope. And Shadow of Doubt. And so many more. Just saw Psycho a few days back for the 3rd time, and Vertigo a month back for the 2nd.

Finally saw Interstellar (on my laptop). I know a lot of people here have panned it, but somehow it did like it.
The only thing I have against the movie is the rather prolonged docking sequence. I mean we've seen that kind of stuff a dozen times in other sci-fi movies. What's the point ?
Just saw Dial M for Murder after a couple years. The kind of movie I can rewatch every 2-3 years.
Nope I saw S1 but it didn;t click with me. Don't like that occult/supernatural thingie.

Saw 'Amy' a documentary about what became the tragic life of Amy Whitehouse. I was surprised how moved I was by it. What a tormented genius she was. My regrets about working too hard during her prime years, much like I was during Federer's, came to the surface. I should have made time for more fun during those years and gone to see one of her gigs. A very touching scene was when she was singing a recorded duet with one of her idols Tony Bennett. 9/10

Hitchcock was a great director for sure. Amazing he never won the Academy Award. That goes to show you how much those awards really mean.

Ted 2. Wasn't as good as the first one, but still entertaining and hilarious. Not all people will find it funny of course. One of the scenes in there was rather nasty though, LOL. Funny, but had me dry retching through it.
Usually anything nasty or gore related wouldn't get a reaction like this, but it was just the fact that I was freaking eating and drinking in the cinema!

Hitchcock is hands down one of my favourite directors. So many masterpieces. Even his lesser films are entertaining.
If pushed I think I would put Vertigo as my number 1.

Awesome stuff. I worked in San Francisco for a couple of years, and I am familiar with some of the Vertigo filming locations. As a matter of fact, I worked close to the SF Bay, and you could easily see the Golden Gate on a clear day.
Now that I think about it, I've also visited the Rushmore monument. LOL!
I watched Strangers on a Train when I was a young boy, and some of the images/scenes are still engraved in my mind. Like when the antihero (forget his name) loses it in the party and almost strangulates that lady. When one of the main characters is desperately trying to reach that engraved lighter (I think it's a lighter) through the sewer grill plate. Not to mention the last scene in the Merry-Go-Round, with that old feller crawling under the structure risking his life to stop it when it goes out of control. That take at the "Tunnel of Love" ride or whatever was when the guy kills the girl with the glasses and the camera shoots through her glasses when they have fallen to the ground is also classic.

Yeah so many classic scenes in that film. The tunnel of love ride is particularly engraved in my mind. There is tennis too haha.

Wolf Of Wall Street - not great, though when he gets paralysed is probably the highlight of the movie for me besides that there's not much else great about it

Thanks to your mention, I watched Good Will Hunting last night. (Saw it a few years back on telly). Man, this movie has a record number of f-bombs! One or two per sentence. Makes In Bruges seem pedestrian, lol.

It was really really good, I don't understand what the critics are on about if you love those movies you must go see it at the movies do not hesitate it's a 9/10 for me, I would go see it a 2nd time even!
