You can tell ESPN just interviews a celebrity when they're worried about people getting bored. They wouldn't have done it during a Federer match. Even Nadal on one leg is more exciting than this. ;)
Can they
Yea he does. Win, lose or draw he always gets up for those three. I think he's had some time while he's been away though and reflect over those mistakes. Hopefully he's learned. I think if he plays Del Potro he will be amped.
Aren’t the only times we’ve seen him shed a tear though was against Delpo? That worries me.

It was the Olympics and he really wanted that for his country. He named that as one of his priorities that year. I think he was also dealing with a wrist injury so all that was very disappointing for him.

Yea if he wins here, he is a greater USO player than Nadal.

No one considers Wawrinka the greater AO player than Nadal

Both have one title each and Wawrinka is 1-0 in slams finals against him.

What those numbers don't show is that Nadal was injured in that final, or that Nadal has made an additional three finals, and in 2017 Wawrinka failed to make the rematch in the final.

Yep. And Nadal has beaten Federer there 3 times yet Wawrinka has never beaten him on hardcourt. Nadal's resume at AO is more impressive than Wawrinka's so although head to heads are useful, they don't tell the whole story.

Probably going to tap out soon, tbh finding this semi dull. Nice to see Novak back in s uso final but I'll be rooting for del potro. Would be amazing to see him win his second slam, second uso almost 20years later

please!

Djokovic started his 'dominant' form at the 2010 USO.

don't try it!

again, continuing with the delusions.
Isn't it about time you got off em' ?

and ..

Objectively wrong, he won 1 of his last 5 tournaments to end the year (small title in Beijing), and was 0-4 against Fedal (1-8 in sets.)

and

The Davis Cup win in 2010 helped free up Novak and the work in the offseason probably helped him quite a bit too.
Hence the way he came out in 2011 with a 43 match win streak and going something like 64-2 until the USO.

Yea so dominant that he lost 3 straight times to Federer in the fall and Nadal at the WTF.
oh so Djokovic has never lost to Federer 2-3x in a row since 2011?

and Nadal played great tennis at the 2010 WTF also beating Murray who was playing great until the final where he was injured.

firstly, not in 2011 or 2015.

and no, not even in 2012, 2013, 2014.

at the bold part, LAWL , what ?

ha ha ha ha ha.

he just plain got plain beat by fed, as usual indoors.

----

Nadal was also playing great in 2013 WTF, until he met Novak in the final and got beat in straight sets.

Djokovic played great at the 2010 USO.

period.

at best same level as Nadal in 2011 USO. (I'd say slightly worse considering whole tournament)

and no better than djoko himself in 2007/2008/2009 USO.

That's different from saying he started his run of dominance there.

Might as well say it started at the 2008 AO, which was a much stronger tourney from him. 2010 was a good tournament but he got a lot of help from Federer in that match...I believe that out of nearly 400 matches Fed has contested at the grand slam level, there are only about 15 where his first serve percentage was lower.

Djokovic also played a pretty average finals. Not abhorrently bad, but certainly not above his base level from those years.

Only once has Federer beaten Djokovic twice in a row since 2011, which happened in 2012.

No offense to Rafa but Djokovic is a much better indoor player than him and no prime version of Djokovic would be losing in straight sets to Rafa at WTF.

Absolutely, 2011 AO Novak was just a completely different player from the one that played in the fall or even the 2010 US Open.

Poor Nishi. Djokovic is officially back and proving it by making it to two slam finals in a row and winning Cincy. Welcome back Novak!

I think we will get a great final with the two players who have been in the best form from the beginning.

Djokovic has a great chance to win the USO and catch up to Fedal. He wasted two years in the middle of his domination.
