Alex de Minaur Racket

The current Wilson paintjobs lack so much imagination and creativity it boggles the mind. They must have fired all their graphic designers and used the accountants department to come up with these incredibly boring paintjobs.

No way I love the minamlist paint jobs. Way more interesting than the space lazer beam graphics from the last couple years on all sorts of racquet manufacturers

Perhaps he's coming a full cycle and returning to his old frame?? (Pic below is from U16s a few years ago)

We're in the minority, but I completely agree. I don't like overly busy paint jobs, but this is too boring IMO. My favorite Wilson PJ's were the K Factor's, especially the Blades. They had a clear design but they weren't too busy.

take note of the flex rating vs retail frames, 64 vs 71 retail
This is where many fail in attaining a stick they can grow with in time
Ferrer on the other hand never played better than with Prince
and has broke more wilsons in his short stint with them.

Hopefully in time Alex will add a little more weight as he
grows stronger and progressively improves. I see him as a
slightly lesser pounder than Davydenko but with more heart,
variety and a real tennis champion by his side who can push
the most out of him on the practice courts.
Hewitt is still such a force on the court where he proved recently
in tiebreak tens tennis in Melbourne beating Nole & almost Nadal.
No 5 set match but the guy hasnt played this kind of opposition
for a long time and DeMinaur has similar heart fibres.

I don't think he needs anything to be done on his current racquet specs! He going through top 50 ranked players like they were the underdogs! Alex is reaching the semis in ATP tournaments! It not that he lacks power on any stroke including the serve! He has like 10-15 aces a match in 2 out 3 set matches! He has usually more winners then his opponents do! In other words; he on a wave of match wins with the blackout Wilson! No changes when you are winning like this!

True test will come against top ten players (other than Raonic) :)

I have a good feel that Alex new PJ will be glossy! So that would be only the Wilson Ultra Tour and the Wilson "reversal" frames! There are exception to this where some of the racquets are glossy but the retail version is matted! Not sure why Wilson does not charge another $10 more and have the sheen match the endorse player's racquets? Wilson is such a cheapskate!

Oh man, that is one of my least favorite pjs of all time.

I’ll be interested in seeing some pics of the new paint. The photo I saw on Instagram looked to be a 16/19 pattern and not have the same throat as the steam 99 mold. I could be wrong though.

Well Ferrer keeps going downhill and fast! whilst DeMinaur
has similar success as previous year but expected as he gets past his early teens

it wasnt a gradual slide either, for me it was the racquet, wife or/and
never gone through the usual 29 yo slump period that affects so many

Commentator mentioned that De Minaur had switched to a racquet with a thicker beam. Anyone know what the new stick is?

Yea, Courier said that. But who knows. I never knew what that racquet was when it was blacked out. Probably some prostock that i'll never see in a shop or online store.
It just takes the fun out of playtesting knowing that none of these Wilson and Head frames are out there for the average consumer.

As a rackaholic I remember when I purchased my first "Graphene" frame because I wanted and was excited about hitting with something my hero played with only to find out not only did he not and never would use a racquet with Graphene but it wasn't even the same family of racquet. Oh, the glory days when I hadn't even heard of H22s, H19s and codes or at least understood them.

Now I live off of my fav playtesters on here and what they're living for. I am only going to try the 100P when the weather improves because Tiffany switched to it.

I’m assuming this is the same pro stock racquet Ferrer and Minaur are using?
So Halep was actually using a Steam 99 back in the day and not a paint job as the steam frame is obvious in this photo. I wonder if she's still using this frame under her current paint job?

It appears the pro stock version is lighter than the 10.8oz Blade team 99 or Steam 99. The pro stock versions are around 10.2 - 10.4oz unstrung. One report was the grip is the same as the retail Blade Team, Steam 100, and Blade 101L, which is part if the hairpin and not a foam molded grip.

Current Wilson paint schemes look great imo...they could add a very few accent lines at various places....
Just like the new pure drive...simple is appealing..
But then again...those new Dunlops look sharp...especially that green one..
i heard he's using the stock blade pro. is this true ?
