This is just pure joy to watch. The level of tennis is very high right now. Kohli is just on fire for the most part. Nadal's not playing poorly either.
LOL roflmao.
I slept for 3 hours and then wake up to study for 5 hours and here I am,so pardon me if i'm a little b!tchy now.
hope kohl gives me at least a present.but not likely!
Why is that funny? He's going to be 24 this year right? His game is still predicated on way too much defense and we can literally see him slowing down and making more errors (his strokes require more energy too) than he ever has. Why couldn't it happen?
You must be joking.
nadal has lost how many matches on clay again?? the currently no.2 player and GS holder a no factor anymore
oh noesss...the washed up old nonfactor about towin!! can't be!
Wait...those are past results. He got creamed at the US Open. Look at his recent results. Not very good. He went 0-3 at the year end masters. I can see him getting to a lot of 4th rounds, some quarters, and a few semi's but I am not sure I see him winning any more unless something DRASTICALLY changes in how he is playing.
Also, if he loses this match he could end up at Number 5.
Malakas, do you play tennis?

Damn Nadal has a nightmare quarter.

here we go now with personal attacks,no?yes I do play tennis.I'm not good but I try.
Past results??like doha no? recent results..uhm yes..the recent clay results were very impressive.
No no if he loses this match he can only fall to no.3.To no.5 he can fall after AO if he doesn't perform. But then he's got a ton of points to gain in the second part of the season-whereas DelPo and Fed can lose a lot.
Nightmare as in not another cakewalk draw?
How is it a personal attack to ask if you play tennis? lol. People generally have a much greater understanding of something if they actually participate in said activity...such as tennis....or music! ;-)
His recent clay results were bad (FO), but he was having knee problems in Madrid and RG. Clay will always be his best surface in terms of instincts etc, but I dunno about his physicality.
But tell me, with an aging Nadal whose game is based on speed, energy and superb defense why do you expect him to be an expected winner in future majors? I'm starting to see his decline personally...he doesn't play anything like he did in 2008...
tennisandmusic-you cant be serious
Im not one of the fans that talks about "cakewalk draws", a draw is just that... a random luck of the draw. It is what it is... Ivo and Murray are not good matches for him.

I usually don't use that either. Fact is Nadal had some very easy draws on hardcourt in the last few years. This years AO draw isn't that difficult either.
I bet Nadal is VERY happy that Davydenko is not in his quater and that JMDP is playing way below his level of the tailend of 09.
Right, that's why he can hardly gain any points on clay until RG... If you think that's bad you'll be very disappointed in the next few years.

For him it was bad. Losing at Madrid wasn't so bad aside from playing kinda crappy, but his most recent results at the FO were quite bad for him. Also his play in earlier events, even though he won, was not that great. It was plainly visible he wasn't playing as well as he did in 2008. And he lost a ton of points during the clay season because of RG...
And yeah, that's what I'm saying I am seeing his decline right here and now. So of course his results in the future compared to the past will be horrendous. Right? That's the point.
You guys have to stop looking at past results or thinking that things are static. Of course Nadal played awesome in the past. But that doesn't mean anything at all now. Unless something drastically changes the Nadal that some people love is just gone.

that's about the same with federer - who is "on decline" but still number one. and nadal is still number two. I mean come on...their game was ridiculous above everyone else.
