Dunlop Aerogel 500 Tour Customization

I have a dunlop aerogel 500 tour. I want to know how to customize this racquet to play similar to a Head Youtek Speed Pro. For instance, i want the racquet to have more feel. Where do i add lead tape and how much is the right amount. Thanks a lot!!!

You can't make a frame have more feel.I have an AG 500 Tour and it
is a stiff fairly wide bodied racquet in the APDGT mould. You could add some lead tape to make it feel more solid but you can't magically transform it into a flexy frame with loads of feel.

Lead tape makes a racquet play stiffer, imho, but a leather grip might be useful.

The Speed Pro is also a stiff frame @ 70 RA. Adding lead to the handle will obviously increase the HL balance and weight.

I mean why does this frame feel soo hollow. I think more weight around the hoop can make this thing feel more stable especially against the big hitters of this world. I mean thats what i want. Look at Nadal, he uses that old aerodrive and leads that thing up and it seems like he can hit and hit with the big boys of this world and the racquet does not vibrate

Lead up a racket so it's heavy and slowswinging, like Thor's hammer, but can you swing it at all?
And even if you could, why wait for the other guy to hit his hardest shot into your court? Why not hit your ball FIRST, hard and penetrating into his court before he can hit his big shot?
While retrieving is a current strategy for successful tennis, it's not the ONLY strategy to win.
If you currently play at 7.0 levels, you may disregard my advice.

lets be a little more comlimentary. I am a power hitter, but i want the racquet to become heavier and more stable through impact. i currently use polylon strings and the feel is bittersweet. i want to feel the ball compress more

Why choose a flyswatter like the 500 when you could use a 4D 200 Tour or a BLX Pro?
Because the flyswatter is easy to swing, has nice feel, you can last a long time on the courts, hits crisp, but not the best defender out there.
So why hit shots that force you to defend?

Lets be a little more respectful here. Nadal is a defensive baseliner who can hit winners at will, but im talking about strategy and skill set. The aeorogel is just a frame for the bigger hitters. It doesnt compliment players who want to feel the ball collapse into the stringbed. Help me out people, should i go to a softer polyster string or what?-

I have a 4D 500 tour and if you add 2 - 4 grams of lead at 3 and 9 and the same amount in the handle, (under the grip), you will get a more solid feel from your frame. That's a good starting point. Play around a bit and I think you may find more solidity without sacrificing the frames inherent characteristics. I also really like natural gut. Yes, it's more expensive but I'm not a string breaker and it keeps it's tension for a long time.

For what it's worth - I have 18g of tape under the grip (9 up both sides, which makes the grip more like a Head type), 8g around the hoop and 7g on the throat just above the grip. Makes the total weight with strings about 350g and more head light and makes the 500 tour a dream racket as far as I'm concerned. Also use Head sonic pro 17s @ 48 - 50, a low tension but doesn't lose control.
Solid, good swing-weight, manoeuvrable etc. After trying just about every other racket trying to find a good players frame I decided to lead up my old ag500tour as none of the others were of the same standard. I really think Aerogel is the best technology for rackets and if other manufacturers used it they would make much better rackets.
In case you are wondering, I did try the 200 and 200 tour but they lacked power. Also the 500 tour is one of the very few rackets I don't get any problems in wrist, elbow, shoulder etc.
