Head Radical Tour OS rackets assessment

Hello guys

I have two classic Head Radical Tour Oversize twin tube rackets. I played with them in 1997 and 1998, as a teenager. Then they spent 20 years in my cellar. I know it's a good frame, or at least it was 20 years back. I have just returned to tennis and I played a couple of times with one of these rackets before I bought a new one. It felt very good, big sweetspot, maneuverable.

I would say they are in average state, several chips and scratches, head guard partly worn out, a little graphite shows here and there. No breaks or cracks.

At first I wanted to send them to trash, but maybe they are still worth anything? I would be grateful for opinions.

Most important question, how does it feel to you when you hit with it. If it feels like an extension of your hand stay with it

if it isn't too heavy for you and you like the os, i'd keep them to use if i were you. if you're a fan of the oversize racquet you won't find too many os racquets to choose from in the new racquet market. don't trash them in any event.

i think the OP was "asking" how much he can sell his racquet for.....
(i think **** will probably give him an idea or two...)

for me it is one of the best tennis rackets that has ever been made. there are quite a few of these exceptional frames. that IMHO, never sell.

under penalty of resentment and one day seek to buy two or three times the price.

with the Prince Original Graphite, the Wilson Pro Staff St Vincent, maybe the Dunlop Hotmelt 300G, there must still be so many, they are timeless frames. that the years do not make us forget, when we take out such a frame on the tennis courts, there is often a little gleam in the eyes of people, they are often very pleasant, very comfortable frames. Don't forget vaccum and prestige..

I think that the age making, one returns there willingly to these frames, oversize in addition, which have quite little equivalent on the current market !.

I've got plenty of 107's that weigh in the 12oz+ range but when I was looking for a racket that is sort of like the POG 107 but lighter I picked up a couple 11+oz Rad OS's and love hitting with them. So I have been perusing the big auction site for other OS Rad models in the spec range I am interested in. but if you want to know what your model might bring just type this in the big auction site search bar: Head Radical Tour Oversize racket . The prices range from $45 - 150.00.

before trying to sell them, just try a few new frames .. then calculate what you might cost new rackets which will probably be of lower quality anyway.

it's a bit like having an "old" ferrari, and trying to sell it to pay for a hyundai ...

So that should be the same for TT Zebra OS then... same as OP’s racquet...

Thanks guys for all the valuable input. As I wrote in my post, I already have a new racket, so I won't be using these old Radicals. I cannot say I am a fan of oversized frames, honestly, I started playing with these two OS frames when I was 13 years old by accident. I was a poor kid back then and my coach got them for me really cheap, it was some kind of bargain. The fact of it being oversized had no influence. It was mainly the price. I played with them for about a year and a half and gave up on tennis. That's why they spent 20 years in the cellar. Now I have started playing again and I have a lighter and smaller racket which I am comfortable with.

I have just looked at "the big auction site" and I am quite shocked by the prices. The listed rackets are in better condition then mine, but still, I would never expect a 25 year old tennis equipment to hold its value so well. I guess I will put them up for sale there. I already did this on a FB group in my country, but no one seems to be interested and some young blokes even laughed these rackets off;)
