Hey guys,

since i am a fan of xl rackets i got my hands on a Tour XL and a Pro Lite Tour XL (see pictures)

differences for those who don't know:
tour xl: 630 cm² 18x20, sort of equal balance, 323 g with strings
Pro LIte tour XL: 660 cm² 18x19, head heavy, <300 grams with strings

tour xl is made in austria, pro lite tour xl designed in austria..

my question is this: are ALL designed in austria frames of the classic Era without Twaron, or are there Frames that are "just" designed in austria but still feature the twaron fibers? i just know that the radical bumblebees only feature twaron in the "Made in Austria" version.

i saw several different old school prestige versions from like 91-99.
the prestige classic 600 i have is "designedin austria"

so are all "designed in austria" prestiges without twaron, or are there certain designed in austria models that also feature twaron?
i found it odd that the prestige classic 600 is just designed in austria, i thought it was of an era in which many frames were "made in austria".

does anyone have a list which prestige versions were "made in Austria", or maybe there are even among the same model names both MIA and DIA models available to make matters worse..

to sum it up, the twaron factor is my main concern.. can i say NO designed in austria model has twaron, or maybe the designed in austria and finished in czech republik still feature the twaron, and only the designed in austria but made in china have no twaron?

Point 2) who knows other great head xl frames except the competition XL series (extreme competion is my favorite of those), and the head radical tour candycane XL, i-prestige XL, ??

i played with the idea of having my bumblebee radical extended but if i can find a great stock xl racket it won't be necessary and i won't ruin a classic stick.

thanks.

There is also a model that is red xl prestige classic 600 that says tour on the frame. Designed in Austria - and I wonder if that has tawron or not.

I'm not sure if the late model "designed in Austria" labels mean with or without tawron despite searching all the threads!

The Designed in Austria frames were still made in Austria. Just painted and fitted with handles and grommets in CZ Republic. So those frames are identical to the Made in Austria stuff in terms of composition. At least that is my understanding.

Hullo gays! I can't resist to share my impressions of my new head Pro Lite Tour 660 18x19, which must be 1994 or so model. It seems that i have at last found my grail.
Have to say that it has fresh luxilon monofilament strings tensed by 26/25 kgs.
Since i do not really need a lite racket , looking for more stability and less vibrations, i put 4 grams of leed on each place: 12, 3, 9, and on the handl's neck. So the racket has got 16 gr extra, having the balance at 34 cm.
Next thing i did was extending it up to 70 cm long with an epoxi resin, making it XL.
So yesteday i played compearing it with my Wilson Pro Staff 97 S (2014-2016, Georgi Dimitrov vertion, 326 gr, balance 33 cm).
I use to make a good swing including in action my hips and upper body.
The Head PLT is much less powerfull, with very crisp feeling when you hit the ball well, making almost all the balls entering in the court even if you gave a little topspin. The big 660 cm string bed makes topspinning really easy. The PS97, if you swing well, demands a lot of topspin to send the ball in court. If you don't do it the ball goes out.

FS Head Pro Lite Tour XL 660cm2 Grip 2.
Original racquet, full length, with worn out hologram sticker on the base of the handle.
Good condition without too much scraping on the grommet guard (you can still see the Head logo).
Let me know if you are interested, as I am a Grip 4 so I don't use it too often. I bought it as a collector's novelty and it has great feel!
