Is it worth it to buy a cheap stringing machine?

How can you afford to pay for poly and gut but not afford more than the cheapest stringer?

EDIT: ok nevermind since I see you bought a Klippermate, but the question still has merit.

I have been laid off for 4 months. I can give up a string machine without it affecting my game. I can not afford to give up poly and gut (spin and power) and maintain my strokes.

I started off on a gamma x-2 stringer and strung rackets for others as well as myself. Eventually because of my "cheap" stringer I was able to upgrade to a prince neos 1000.

That's a good way to go: I should stick a coffee can by my stringer and pop in $10 each racquet I string, with a goal of saving enough for a racquet club kind of stringer, something big time. I just don't have the volume, mostly stringing for myself these days.

Look it up. They make a few nothing to elaborate. I was spending too much money on string jobs testing different strings. Several posters said they had this machine for many years with no problems so I went for it, Nothing fancy but it works and works very well.

It is so worth it...It has saved me so much money on racket stringing. Invest in a good one, because eventually it will pay for itself anyway and will last longer.

buy a mutual power machine for around $350 - $450 - it will pay for itself with 2 years. it is constant pull which is great.
