And he breaks again.

As I said, Nadal can still play at his old level, the problem is that he needs a lot more focus to keep it up. As long as Verdasco doesn't go a break down, an upset is possible.

The problem is that he cannot last 5 and now he can hardly last 2

DFs galore from both, lol. 30-30. I wonder what the record is for most total doubles? It's probably still far away from this matches number but still...

Back on serve. 2-2.

I agree. I also think he would be well served, and this is not going to be easy, is to get a few dominating wins under his belt to help restore that confidence. I don't care about the "aura" being gone, I just want him to believe again that he can and SHOULD beat anybody at anytime on ANY surface. I miss THAT Rafa

I'm pretty sure Nadal has lower number compared to other top players. Nadal wins by small. That's his game.
I can't tell you how wrong you are. Nadal on clay has historically won by a bigger margin than any other clay player except perhaps Borg. 2008 was one beat down after another...

Verdasco has guts, break point down, he knows that if he screws up the match is basically over and what he does? Fires a couple shots in a row at full speed.

Verdasco has proven that he can beat a 45% Nadal on hardcourts. Now the question is, can he beat a 55-60% Nadal on hardcourts.

Let me look up career number of bagels (and maybe breadstick) for top players when i have time. yeak, i could be wrong, especially on clay.
