players who takes lot of time between points

I saw Ancic-Gasquet yesterday at cincy and I've never seen a guy taking so much time between points than Ancic . At the end of the second set, the referee even award him a "time violation" warning. It was the least he can do. The guy was constantly taking at least 25 sec. to serve even it he served an ace. His "record" for this match is 55 seconds!!!( the match was so boring because Gasquet has tennis elbow and he was serving at 50% that i took the time Ancic was using between points). When he finally get warned, he was at 42 seconds. In top of that, he complained with the referee for the warning. Do you know other players who takes lot of time between points? I think Ljubicic also takes a lot of time between points and maybe Nadal sometimes. In the 80's, Lendl was also known to take lot of time between points.

Rusedski takes a lot of time too, he calls for the towel to wipe his ugly face after every single point on both serve and return, regardless of how long the point was, even if it was an ace and lasted 1.5 seconds.

Henman seems to take quite a bit of time(I remeber Ted Robinson calling him the "human rain delay"

But really no one today compares to Lendl, Mac, & Becker from the 80s.
They'd play S&V matches indoors with no rallies that would take 3-4 hrs(best of 3)
I'm sure they invented the time rule because of Lendl.

Mary Pierce! The last link from the 80s.

Still love her though.

i heard the espn guys talking about the "time" rule last weekend for the agassi/nadal match. players are allowed 20 seconds between points, but it really seems to be referee's discression (sp?). agassi was *****ing about nadal taking too long when he was raedy to serve, but nadal was well inside that limit...

other palyers, rusedski does spring instantly to mind, wipes himself off after every point, and takes his time diong it as well. that is really annoying... i love watching him play, but man that does get annoying.

They should change the rule to 15 seconds unless they break their strings or something/injure themself

It's so funny to hear P-Mac talk about Rusedski's towel schtick. I recall during a 4 set, 4:00 match between P-Mac and Becker at '95 USO, P-Mac doing the exact same thing trying as hard as he could to get under Becker's skin. Needless to say, Becker handled the situation a lot better than Agassi (...can you say "mind lock").

Another vote for Mary Pierce...she's got more rituals and ticks than anyone I've seen! Still love her, though!
