Played a social on Tuesday with the 300DC and really enjoyed it. Nice feel and my elbow wasn't hurting afterwards! Didn't find my serve as powerful as my current racket but sure that's just teething trouble! Got a match next week so will use it there to. Looks promising!

Awesome, good luck!

After 6 years of holic'ing and refinements, I've decided to go out with a bang, and there's no turning back from here. I've added a couple of H22's to my arsenal of TeXtreme 100P's. Both of which are excellent paying frames, but the H22 takes it up another level.

Nice PJ. I have some older ones in Steam 99 paint. considered splurging and going for burn paint but decided that it wasn't worth the price jump since I got mine for very cheap.

what're the specs on yours? i'm in the process of overhauling my h22s to bone stock and switching out to head pallets cause I didn't like the spec I got mine in. unfortuneately can't add silicone to mien since the hairpin is foam filled and then the hairpin is like sealed with some glue or adhesive or something =/

Bone stock it's 10.4g at 4HL. So it's a tad on the lighter side. I've up'd it to 12.2 oz at 6HL to where I like it. It's definitely not worth the $ for a newer pj. I would rock it in the Steam 99 or whatever old version any day for cheaper.

I think stock weight wise, ours were about the same. Mine was about 296 grams (I think you meant 10.4 oz). I'm trying to get it to about 345-350g and a bit head lighter at 8pts HL.

There was the standard lead weight plates at the top of the molded handle like most wilson frames have. Haven't weighed them yet though. I might have/will probably have to rip them out of the foam and add them back a bit closer to the buttcap to achieve the setup I want.

State of my H22 right now

@Phantasm,

My ideal spec would be 8-9HL if possible. I'll play around with it a little more throughout the week. My frame did come with a Head TK57 pallet, which fits the wilson hairpin perfectly. Please follow up on how you will achieve 8HL. Thanks.

I'll let you know how it goes. I couldn't get my hand to get used to the Wilson handle shape after a long time of using other brands. Read through multiple times on the board that head pallets fit, so I broke out what little tools I have to make the swap.

Will play with it slowly through the week with work and courtime probably taking away from actual customization/stringing time. Might have to be the weekend that I really get into it though.

Not sure where to post it but since we started the discussion, i'll follow up here.

I've played around with the weight a bit and put on the head pallets. This put me at about 31.4cm balance at 313 gms unstrung with Wilson Leather Grip. Achieved this by moving the 12 grams of weighted plates inside the molded handle to the bottom of the hairpin and added about 5gms of tungsten putty in the slotted channel where the molded handle used to be.

After stringing, I'm at 330gms with a 32.7 cm Balance.
Adding 11-12 grams more towards the bottom of the handle handle, I can get to about 31.7-31.8cm balance at 341/2 gms before OG. After OG, i'll probably at 345gms and then I'll still be light enough if I feel I want to add some weight to the hoop and offset it to keep the balance point I want.

Unfortunately, can't test out the racquet yet. The metal plates I'm using to add weight make the pallet stick up too much and gripsize becomes much too big for me. Need to use leadtape and maybe more tungsten putty to offset it. Waiting for it to come in the mail since I don't have anymore right now to finish the project. :( Hopefully I can take it out for a spin this weekend.

all the good ones on the left I see. those k90's have me jelly now
Thanks! Yes, each series has it's subtle attributes. The K90's are my favorite but I like the BLX and Prostaff as well. I didn't care for the 2nd generation BLX as much as the others. May have been my demo, but I remember it being very light and lacking the plow of the brand.

3 of those K90's have yet to be strung or hit with and have been sitting as backups in a bag since 2007-2008. I was inspired to get them all out and take a shot of them seeing this post and the Mighty Prostaff 90 thread.

Graphene Radical Touch MP, with black CAP, leather grip and silicone. Weight: 363 grams, balance 31.8 cms. Have four of these and four TGT 307.2, which play very similar. The retail GTouch are, indeed, softer which allows me to go for strings that were out of the question with the 307.2.

Volkl Cyclone 1.25 mm. That string works great in this racquet, along with Wilson Revolve Spin, Lux Alu Power Spin (a little stiff) and Solinco Hyper G (lacks a little feel). All in all, Cyclone and Revolve are my preferred options here. By now I'm using no dampener. Feels better to me.

Volkl Cyclone 1.25 works phenomenally in my H22 and Prince TT100P as well. I play mainly with the orange cyclone, and find it a tad softer than black.

Definitely try this frame out if you ever get the chance. You have to experience it yourself to understand how awesome it is. There's a reason why the livelihood of the majority of pro player are on H22 and H19.

agreed here. I had a honeymoon period with the Pure Aero but starting to go back to the classic H22s. Surprisingly, after hitting a head heavier Aero. the H22 balance point doesn't feel as bad cause I get nice plow through on the 2hbh side

Let me ask you how you're dealing with the lack-of-grommets situation. That is literally the only reason why I haven't pulled the trigger one of those bad boys. I like replacing my grommets fairly often, and I probably own 80% of the world's supply of black radical cap grommets.

I usually stock up on grommets for all frames that I truly like, and now have a boat load of grommets from past frames. I've been fortunate to have grommets along with my H22 and have a limited few to hold me over for a few years or so until my next venture. If I didn't have access to H22 grommets, I would have not made the move. If you are persistent and determined enough, they are out there.

Is DR100 too stiff racket if i'm fearing tenniselbow? Stiffness is same as Pure Aero and people say that Pure Aero gives you tenniselbow (not to everyone).

Here's my RF97 (two shots of it. I actually stenciled it today but didn't post it) and Pure Strike!

One pic is using Vulcan overgrips. The second of the RF is using the Wilson overgrip I now frequently use. String is Laserfibre's JB Tour 100 (James Blake's signature string.)

It's crisp though I wouldn't say too stiff. It's still comfortable for me anyhow and I've had no issues as yet. I've found other racquets much stiffer and uncomfortable in the past
