I love the frame, but find it a bit sluggish and heavy. I switched to the TT warrior and couldn't be happier.

Regarding the rebel 98 yellow version;
In the TW playtest Jason says its like a more comfortable blx blade,would you say that is correct ?
I did playtest both black blade 98 versions,but im afraid it would be too stiff in the long run so if this play similar but softer it would be a great option.
At my club they dont have this for demo,but they have a greenish version,are they the same,just different paintjob ?

Never hear of greenish one...
I have 2 yellow Rebel 98's and can say that they are super solid in stock form and very stable even on returning big shots. Comfortable that full poly is no problem. Wilson Blade is stiffer and will produce more fast shots I think, but never compared these...

Can I join the club? I recently made a switch to the Rebel 95. I also just ordered the new version of Rebel 95. I don't get why the BLX's, Prestiges and the Babolat racquets get so much love and the EXO3 Rebel doesn't. To me, the Rebel 95 is the best racquet available today. I love it. Just hope that the newer version is as stable and solid as the original.

The "greenish" ones looks like the ones on the picture in the top of this page,racquet no 3 and 5 from the left/right
but rebel 98 was not in rebel 95 paintjob, it came to market in new yellow paint...

There will be a name change to the Tour 98 in January.
I think its called "rebel team" from googling abit,so it was not the rebel in different color as i thought.

Has anyone here played both the Yonex Ai98 and the 2012 Rebel 95? I expect the Rebel to have less power but otherwise I'm curious about the differences.
I used to play Prince EXO3 racquets - the Ignite 95 mostly, and the Tour 100 (18x20) for a while. I switched to the Ai98 and liked the all-court playability but it might be a bit too powerful for me. This cursed TT board twisted my mind and I impulsively ordered a 2012 Rebel 95 on close-out sale. It will be here sometime this week.

I dislike the change to "Tour" name... Rebel felt good, mainly the original one (black, green, yellow) and Im glad that I have 4 of these in my stash + 1 yellow one but I dont like the cheap lame look (without "rebel" wording on side!!!

I used to own two of them.
Rebel 95 is a control-oriented, low-powered and stable racquet.
It is totally different compared to Ai 98.
I also played with 2014 Rebel 95 but there is no difference with old version except the paint job.

Rebel is control oriented racket. It offers pin point control but you will miss power. I used to play with old rebels for 3 years (Japanese version which is 310g/10.9oz unstrung). I liked the control but always missed power.

I have 3 Rebel 95s (last version).
I bought them after acquiring a Rebel 98 Team (size 2), which felt nice but too light. I tried leading it up btw, but I wanted to get it more headlight and ended up with a flimsy feel in the head (placed the lead on the grip). First I got a size 2 with a prince control hybrid stringing. That felt nice, but the size two promoted too much wrist action for my part. Esp. on serves it felt too thin. I recently bought 2 size 3, with diff stringing: prince XC 16L (52 lbs) and volkl cyclone tour 17 (54 lbs).
I've been playing with the cyclone tour (strung a bit tighter than the xc since it looses tension more rapidly - allegedly), and that feels great. I love the feel of the old, super headlight and super heavy Prince frames (Graphite Pro 90, CTS Lightning 90), but this latest Rebel 95 / Volkl Cyclone Tour 17 (54 lbs) gives me a somewhat similar feel (but still not the same though).

Grabbed my 2012 Rebel 95 for a hit yesterday. I normally play with Völkls these days, but the feel I get from these EXO3 Prince rackets is somehow out of this world.
I know many people don't like the holes but for me, they have an amazing effect: I "feel" the racket swings lightly, yet it gives me the best touch and control of all the rackets I have (which are too many anyway...).
I'll stick with this stick for now

I have been playing with rebels for years. It was my racquet in college, and when Prince stopped making them I had a brief stint with Wilson because they discontinued the TT Rebels...but I have found no other racquet that plays like the rebel series. With the number of frames I don't see why they didn't keep the rebel series separate from the Tour series.

... And since I liked the 95 so much, I got myself 2 new 98s. I thought I'd like a comparison, but wow, I am so going to stick with the 98s now. Put on a Prince leather grip and added two large strips of lead inside the throat area as well as some lead at 2 and 10. Racket plays like a dream
What version is this? It doesn't have the yellow grommets along the side (the one I saw in store had the strings directly on the frame at the sides) but it has the 2009 paint job. it's listed as 645cm sq head size which is bigger than 95 if the site is correct, and the one in store had a picture of Monfils on the packaging...

Starting in the center we have Prince's Triple Threat Rebel (1999-2000), followed by Prince's Exo3 Rebel 95 (2009-2011), then Prince's Exo3 Rebel (2013-2013), followed by the recent renaming of the Rebel series to the Prince Tour 95.
This is my memorial to a classic mold and almost a decade of performance. There is simply no other mold like the Exo3 Rebel...true players stick and old school frame.

I've been eyeing a 2012 Rebel 95 on sale via an online store. I am a bit confused though, they have 2 different versions of brand new Rebel 95s. One has 'TCT' written after its name and is super cheap and the other just says Rebel 95 and is medium cheap.
What could TCT stand for?

Yeah, I'm playing the Response 97 and am very happy with it but as a Prince affectionado I thought it would be fun to have one or two Rebel 95s just to pull out of the bag once in a while. I'm just a bit suspicious; seems strange that the TCT is half price of the (on sale) non-TCT. The online store, which is a large sports shop not specializing in tennis, can't tell if there is any difference. Googling prince+TCT, I get a few hits on various mostly older Prince frame but cannot find an explanation for what the abbreviation stands for.

great sticks. you can mix and match all sorts of grommets too for different feels. I put ports on the mains and holes on the crosses. I've probably played my best tennis with these sticks. The 325-330 swingweight and fast, headlight feeling made me feel invincible. I ended up wanting more feel. I probably should have just played around with strings more instead of switching.

You know you get to an age and level where new technology or paint jobs just don't impress. I customize my own frames, balance, weight, swingweight...I don't play tournaments, just teach...and recreational play, so I have no need to simply keep buying frames...I like the feel and when I do get a serious game...then I play out. I know what I like, I know what works...so I just customize and balance as needed.
