I agree that 2012 Fed was awesome at end of tournament but hard to imagine some of the other guys on the list dropping two sets to JB, even if he was zoning...
Nadal had to take that doubtful MTO to stop frickin Petzchner in 2010, not to mention that previous match with Haase. Okay, his level on Semis and Final were impressive, but still.

And the fun thing about matchups are that... JB was zoning, he had a match up on Fed and almost pulled that out.

Agree with this though I don't see 2013 Murray stopping Nadal in the 2018 SF, would switch those around.
Eh it's definitely possible. 13 Murray could definitely push declined movement Nadal around the court, it was usually the opposite in their grass meetings (although in 11 Murray was taking more initiative before he blew up, and 18 was a much worse Nadal vs a better 2013 Murray). If Murray can beat 12 Djokovic, he can beat the 18 version. There's a noticeable difference in intensity of hitting between the 12 OG semi and the semi last year and it's not like Murray is a guy known for that (although it was a lot better in 12 and 13)

The big 3 have all been hugely overrated the last 3 years because the field is so atrocious. Murray or Hewitt in their peaks would give them tons of trouble due to the movement difference. They are not playing the game at the same speed anymore.

I don't think current Nadal on grass is any better than say 14 or 17, just hasn't run into huge serving hot opponents like that.

You got 2 number 9s theres, the last 10 years doesnt include 2008, you probably know that but can't bare to leave it out.

Dont see why 2010 is so high? Also would love to know why 2014 and 2015 are higher than 2012 considering Fed had to go through Djokovic and Murray in his win

Murray in 2013 was on the ropes against Verdasco and had big trouble with Janowicz - that was in the QF and SF too where you would expect him to nearing his best as a slam contender.

Murray was clearly better in 2012 at both Wimbledon and the Olympics than a year later imo.

It's the constant arguing of 2 opposing points back and forth to praise Nadal with one criteria but using the exact opposite to damn Fed and to some extent Djokovic. The strain of keeping that up is too much lol
He's on ignore now for me. And it actually makes me sad, because even though I disagreed with Sport on almost everything, I liked his avatar and always felt sorry for him. It's like dumping a blind puppy at the animal shelter, but those sadists feel no guilt, and I do with dumping Sport.

Murray in 16 kicked everyones ass other than Roland Garros
And the Australian. Oh and the US Open when he lost to Nishikori. 2016 Murray had a field consisting of Cilic, Nishikori, Monfils and Raonic. It'd be a no brainer he'd make it to No. 1 LMAO.

There's probably some truth in that. By 2013 his back injury was increasingly a problem hence why he skipped RG. After Wimbledon his form slumped almost completely and, following an early exit from the US Open, he underwent the back surgery.

I dont disagree with everything but it's like he decides the results first then applies the rules that make that result and changes all the time depending on the player

Nice to know Roddick would've won in any year this decade

Is that what I said? Each match is it's own beast, I think Roddick would have a good shot at winning Wimbledon any year this decade with 2009 form but I wouldn't say he's a lock. Who should go above Federer 2009 in your opinion?

2015 is #3, how is that lacking respect?

2015 Djoel and 2010 Nads - I don't care about them mugging up in earlier rounds, if 2012 Fedr doesn't get penalised (and he shouldn't) neither are they.

Hard disagree. I can see 2010 Nadal taking out 2009 Federer in the SF or F, I don't think 2015 Djokovic pulls it off the majority of the time. I may have put Nadal 2010 too low, maybe it should go above 2014ovic.

2009 Fed is one of his worst wins..... While 2015 is Novaks best win maybe in terms of level of play...

I will also never understand why 2003 is rated so high. It was emotional as it was his first Slam win, but in level of play?

Firstly, he lost a set to Mardy Fish. Secondly, if people really want to demote 2017 by quality of opponents, then how can Roddick and especially Philippoussis (in 2 tiebreaks) be that much bigger wins than against Raonic, Berdych and Cilic?

Beating Roddick in 3 sets was impressive that day, but the future showed that is was rather normal for Federer to dominate in that match-up. He also already HAD his number and never lost to him BEFORE that Wimbledon match. So let me say it this way: At least it isn’t the one single factor which makes 2003 the best performance.

For me even if we consider Federer alone, then 2005, 2006 and 2017 are all above 2003.
Mardy Fish on fast surfaces not a gimme
