so is roddick in the french open or what?
He'll deciding on monday whether he'll be playing on tuesday or not.
Yes, Roddick is currently planning on playing in the French Open. He's to play Alberto Martin in the first round, and the match is scheduled for tuesday.
first american to win the french since michael chang...
You're out of your mind. The only way Roddick can win the French, if it's everybody in the Top50 withdraws... and still... some claycourters between 50 and 150 could beat the actual Roddick :?
I am a Roddick fan, but seriously...No chance this year..
Uh weren't Courier and Agassi Americans?
Ironically, Sampras was the only one of the American pack that fell short.
No we've got Roddick, Blake...Ginepri? ... Goldstein? Gimelstob? Nah, we've got no one. And Agassi is still there trying to hold the tent up for the rest of the guys.
no no no.... the only way roddick can win is if every single player gets injured and has to retire.. even then he'll find sum way to lose it. he'll prob do his back again or something.
roddick can win it, i assure you. worst case scenario, he will lose in the semi-finals...
You are a funny guy yutani i think it would be an accomplishment if he got out of the first round.
dont get me wrong.. im a MASSIVE roddick fan, and he does have one of the best runs out of almost everyone, but hes got people like ljubacic and even verdasco there who are much stronger players on clay.. and lets face it... clay is not andys stong point. i doubt he'll get very far.
Hola, Agassi won RG in 1999. Chang won it in 1989.
but his serve gets stuck in it! if he does that with every serve how can he lose?
ohh im sure he can always find a way to lose it
oh really? sorry mate'..my bad, my bad...but i prefer chang mainly becos he looks asian...
Because the ball doesn't bounce twice, ergo, it ISN'T his point
when i serve the ball, it always stuck onto the ground without boucing, this is a piece of cake even for a 3.0 like me.....i was playing in the beach...
ummm...... maybe because its sand.. not clay perhaps! lol
Oh gee, big surprise. You live in Hong Kong and only route for Asians because they "look" Asian. Never would have guessed that one.
Too bad you don't know anything about tennis or tennis history.
dude, why is there a need to insult me? you anti-asian?
Make sure it's DRY sand. If the sand is WET, it WILL bounce, specially if it has topspin. But of course, you can't serve with topspin... you can only do """"""""""""""SCUD SERVES"""""""""""""""""""""""
Yeah, I know, the lots of " were intentional
I didn't see any insults there, yut. Maybe you're just paranoid.
yar, im a sand-court specialist now...yar for those who wants to improve their volleys may try this too...
no crap he brags about it all the times
I will pull for him, but money talks - and I wouldn't bet $5 on him getting to the 2nd weekend...
I hope I am wrong...
Ljubcic and Verdasco are not the only threats
he'll play, he confirmed it today
hahah!! i no. i was just using them as an example. lol!!
Roddick Owned Early
Roddick will not make it past the 2nd round. Not only is he hurt, but all he has is a baseline game. If his serve or forehand is off, he doesn't stand a chance against anyone adept to playing on clay. In my opinion...
This person has maybe added the most to this discussion and is the closest to being right, Roddick will be lucky to win in the first round....
what time is his match at ET?
They probably haven't announced it yet, since they don't release the schedule until the evening prior and matches are still being played
if roddick is fully fit and can stay that way he'll make the 3rd round r perhaps further...
Why? His best result was 3rd Round (2001), when we was a rising star... why is he going to improve that now, when his game is on a total slump?
actually i saw him in rome first round against hanescu, i know hanesscu isn't much of a player but arod moved quite well and his overall performance left some good impression on me, but obviously it was just "his day", if he could repeat this games (which i certainly doubt), he might past round or two
but one of the first time i have agreed with something mac has said (probably beacouse it's about his fellow arod) is that you need binoculars to see arod on the other side of net, he really is standing way too much backwards especially for his game)
He is the last match out on his court tomorrow, so about one o'clock eastern time (about the same time Nadal played today)
ah damn im gonna be in school then
