Specs of a PS 6.0 85 I have

I have a PS 6.0 85 that I bought used a few years back. I take it and some other players rackets out every now and then for fun. Last time I did I really clicked with it and found myself continuing to use it for the rest of the hitting session. It was very maneuverable at net yet I could stick my volleys, and it had great "plow" on flatter groundstrokes from the baseline. I have to admit that it felt better than my PC600 at least on that day. It's also 2/3 ounce heavier so that got me thinking about adding some weight to my PC 600 to see if I could get some of the same performance. When I measured the 6.0 I got a weight of 367 grams and balance 14 pts head light. This is strung with a Fairway leather grip and no overgrip. This is 10 grams heavier and 6 more points headlight than the specs listed on TW. I realize the Fairway grip is probably a few grams heavier than the Wilson one they're using now, but it can't be 10 grams heavier and the difference in weight wouldn't explain 14 pts HL versus 8 pts HL. The frame I have is made in China -- says manufactured by CHIAO TA on the throat.

Why the discrepancy?

On a side note -- the head size for the 6.0 85 and the PC 600 are virtually identical. The center 8-10 mains on the PC 600 are about a 1/4" longer. If you can play with one of these you can play with the other.

Tolerances can vary qjuite a bit on retail racquets. Not sure I can explain a difference that largethough unless someone has added wieight to the handlle, under the grip or inside.

Update -- I discovered that the grip had been built up using a shrink sleeve. This adds plenty of weight and must explain the rest of the difference.

It seems to have been a fortunate coincidence for me because I really like the frame as it is and I doubt I would have liked it as much if it had been stock specs. It's stiff enough to play solid even being that HL.
